This is a wonderful place...friendly people, beautiful setting and lovely strong, healthy horses. My daughter feels so safe and happy riding here, and is being carefully supported to surprise herself by what she and her pony can do together.

Kitty’s Gorge is one of the beautiful walks accessible from the historic town of Jarrahdale. Just an hour’s drive south west of Perth, this is a great day trip for a walk and lunch at the winery or one of the cafes. The Kitty Gorge Walk is both child and dog-friendly and with walks of all different lengths (1km, 5km or the 14km loop) it has something for everyone. The walk is a moderate one with some steep sections, and goes from Goorolong Park, Jarrahdale to or from the Serpentine Falls.
Excellent bush walk, very nice landscape and near to flowing water for most of the trail. We went early and dressed warm as it was quite cold there, watch closely for the signs as we missed some and wasted a bit of time getting back on track. Walk took about 4 hours starting from the serpentine falls side which is a bit shorter than the other way as we did not go all the way to the car park which is the start point from the other side. Probably a reasonable level of fitness required as it can be a bit of a climb especially around the falls and you my be lugging a pack on some uneven ground and with fallen trees to get over. Highly recommended.

Built in 1896, the Old Post Office provides a wealth of information on the attractions of Jarrahdale, its rich history, as well as a range of local crafts at reasonable prices. The Old Post Office not only serves as a tourist centre, but also as a museum, documenting the history of the area. It is home to a large collection of historical records and photos, unique to this museum.

St Paul's was originally sited on the other side of the valley off Armstrong Road. Built in 1896 and moved to Atkins Street in the 1950s. The nails used in construction were all hand made. The church was moved to its present site in December 2008.
Lovely little church, catches your eye when you drive past. I actually stopped and walked to it to have a better look. It’s only open on Sundays for a service and if I lived closer I’d definitely come back.

We did this trail with 4 kids, aged between 9 and 12. The ascend was steep but it wasn't impossible. The last 1.3km to the lookout was mostly flat which was a nice break from the incline. Reaching the lookout was amazing. The views from above were spectacular. Serpentine falls looked so small and the air above was so fresh. The descend was a little shaky as the rocks were quite unstable. I recommend finding a nice sturdy stick for stability. The overall trail was great and if you don't mind a bit of a challenge, definitely give it a go.
