I love this place and the folks that run it. I have been drinking mead for several years and 1634 offers lots of different varieties, from sweet to dry, so there is something for everyone. The prices are good for mead and the quality. Ask them any questions about mead and receive a history lesson about the name, how it was made in the past and currently made. Lots of fun all around. I brought friends up and we all had great times. It is about a 45 minute drive from Boston, depending on traffic, or a 15 minute walk from the Ipswich train station, which also takes 45 minutes from North Station. Well worth a walk around Ipswich too. They also do lots of farmers markets, so get your hands on some mead without even going far from home. I highly recommend 1634 for all your mead!!!
