Came for Bruno Mars. Haven't been here in years. Currently in construction outside, indoors it's new & clean. Various food selections, women's bathrooms had plenty of stalls. Capacity not huge, not a bad seat in the house. Parking is far, lots of walking.

The Automobile Driving Museum (ADM) is a destination for anyone who loves cars and the role they have had in our lives. The ADM and its devoted Docent Volunteers are dedicated to providing our guests with an up-close and personal look into the lives of the original owners of our fleet. Every Sunday, we take our guests for a ride in one of our cars for a trip back in time. When planning an unforgettable event, think of the ADM as THE spot...your guests will never forget.
What makes a museum top dog? There is a lot of competition for where to go on the weekends. The difference here is passion. They love their museum, the cars, and the space. There is always something going on, car shows, food trucks, kid activities. They also have a ice cream parlor and popcorn for the kids. Our kids love going on the weekend, Especially when the hot wheels show is going on.

Walked the Strand one night, both north and south of the pier. It was nice, pleasant, and safe. Lots of nice beach houses to admire while walking the Strand.
Keep in mind that the City of Manhattan Beach has a very strict ban on smoking in ALL areas except inside a private home, certain hotel rooms, and in moving cars. That means no smoking outdoors, even on the beach, pier, Strand, etc.

Went because we had time to kill. The reviews here were on point. We didnt have an appointment and still they made it happen for us. A really nice pilot greeted us at the door and arranged for the tour. Theres plenty to choose from, starting with the mini tour for 90 p/p. We opted for the 30 min 300 for the 2 of us. Since it was our first time on a heli we opted for less time. We made the right choice. The facilities are very clean and they make you feel comfortable.
Alex was our pilot. He squeezed us in in his schedule. Alex, was really, really nice. He explained everything clearly and then we took of. It was awesome. He took us up the coast. Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Over LAX. It was awesome. We saw 2 planes take off, a few land. It was an awesome experience. During the tour Alex gave us the heads up when turning. He was really cool.
If you are in the area, go on this tour. It beats the traffic! I will go again when in the area for sure!! Ask for Alex

This bustling wooden wharf is the place to be, with its eateries, shops, high-tech arcade, roller coaster, giant Ferris wheel and other rides, famous 1922 indoor merry-go-round and fantastic views of the bay and the mountains.
Visited Santa Monica recently the pier was a must very vibrant full of interesting stalls musicians and planes to eat. It's old with wooden wallkboards giant Ferris wheels rides for the kids and something for everyone and it's free to go

I'm glad I visited this strange little museum but it wasn't really for me. I was potentially too tired to "enjoy" the experience as a lot of reading and unnecessarily long video clips are littered throughout this cramped labyrinth of oddities. From the outside it is very unassuming and there is a lot more hidden within than you'd expect, I think it took us about 2 hours and that was without taking some time to relax with some free tea and biscuits up on the terrace. I think the price you pay for the amount of time it takes to wander through is very reasonable though and I hear they're always changing exhibits for those that want to keep returning.

This is a lovely man-made beach. The further you walk from what is known as the Venice Pier, the more isolated the beach. It is quite beautiful. Aside from some planes leaving LAX in the distance, you can see the sailboats, etc. as the come out from the marina. This is not a place for people who want to be near goods and services. If so, stay near the pier or walk into older Venice Beach proper, which is crowded, noisy, but has tons of shops and restaurants. The best of the are is the Santa Moncica Pier, but again packed with tourists and things to do. If you want a nice, quite beach, then park in the lot and find yourself a private spot in an oasis.

The Pier at Hermosa Beach is well worth the walk! A great place to stroll, people watch, surf watch and enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Ocean. Just off the strand and lots of restaurants and shops. Hermosa Beach and the Pier were wonderful!

Three Weavers makes a wide selection of beers. The day we visited we tried their sampler, and while some were good, none knocked our socks off. They are located in an industrial park, so there is little reason to enjoy the scenery while having a beer or two.

Was at the pier one night in September just before sundown. There are signs that state the city law that prohibits smoking in the city and even on the pier. At the far end of the pier was someone smoking. This pier is just a plain pier, with only the little aquarium at the far end. What could've been a nice quiet sunset walk out over the water was spoiled by this inconsiderate smoker.
It was too late to see the aquarium as it has limited hours.
Smokers take note and non-smokers rejoice:
The City of Manhattan Beach only allows smoking in private homes, certain hotel rooms, and in moving cars.
SMOKING IS PROHIBITED in ALL public places and that includes ALL outdoor areas such as outside of buildings, sidewalks, streets, open spaces, the beach, pier etc.
The City of Hermosa Beach, next door to the south, also has a strict ban on public smoking.
