An Amazing Church Built in the 1500's and still standing after all the Earthquakes and Typhoons over the years... Really Beautiful inside. It is a Must See when visiting the North Ilocos Region of the Philippines. Also has a Bell Tower that was used by Philippine Watchers to warn the Villager's that the Japanese was coming.

Can I just say that in my country, the Philippines, we have everything? Land, sea and everything in between including this KAPURPURAWAN rock formation!!! If you want to impress your friends, these rock formations are the best background in your photos! There is no entrance fee, too! Horseback riding is also an option that you can do in this place. You can also see the famous Bangui windmills in this area so there’s no need to go to the other windmill site. Please be aware that there is also a rock formation in Laoag Paoay area. The rocks there are not as white and not as impressive as the ones here in Kapurpurawan.

4x4 rides, ATV rides and Sandboarding...
This trip to La Paz Sand Dunes was actually not included in our itinerary but the hotel owner convinced us to try it. He even gave a discount so we headed out for it the next day. I was with my 2 sisters and 2 nieces and we were the first ones in the location. Before we proceeded with the 4x4 ride, we were asked to sign a waiver. We were all excited and nervous because none of us have actually tried this. All 5 of us stood at the back of the 4x4. The first few meters of the journey was smooth but when we got farther, the driver intentionally made abrupt stops which caused us to shout louder and held our grips tighter. Little did we know that this ride would give us the adrenaline rush. It was like a roller coaster ride without your seatbelt on. There were 4 stops along the way. The first one was the viewing deck of the town. The place was nothing but amazing as we watched the sun rose from that site. The second stop was the 360 degrees view of the sand dunes. Thirdly was the sea shore with huge waves and cool breeze. We were all exhausted from the bumpy ride yet our adventure wasn't over yet. Our last stop was the sandboarding area. The unlimited use of sandboard was included in the fee. I, as an adrenaline junkie, was the first to try it since every one else were afraid. My 43 year old sister was hesitant at first but later on she did it. I was just so proud of her because she conquered her fear of heights. We only did 2 rounds each because going up the hill was tiring. The journey took almost an hour to finish and when we got back to the camp, more groups were coming and the sun was already high up. It really pays to wake up early to avoid the crowd and the heat. Overall, it was great especially because i did this with my family. I wouldn't trade this moment for anything. Truly, this heart-pounding, nerve-wracking, jaw-dropping experience was one for the books.

It was an easy hike - mostly walking. The falls is great. I would love to swim but it was so cold during my visit. The scenery while walking to the falls was also beautiful. My guide said, you can hire a carabao carriage for Php900 maximum of 9PAX per carriage. It will bring you close to the falls but you still have to hike a little to swim and take great photos with the falls. Guide fee is Php100 while entrance/environment fee is Php10.
