The train excursion from Ibarra to Salinas is an amazing experience. You travel through an amazing canyon, across bridges, and through tunnels. The Ibarra station is a nice stop, a place to buy drinks and snacks on the way. Ibarra is a bit rougher than Otavalo, but it's fine walking around the station. I strongly recommend the train ride to anyone visiting the region!

It is a fairly large park, with a first-class infrastructure. The times I have visited it I find it very impressive because it is a place where you can share pleasant moments with family or friends. On weekends there are different types of exhibitions at the north entrance of the park where you can see art exhibitions, clothing or local cuisine. The park has different types of recreation, but my favourite one is the rent of bicycles, as the space is very very big, going for a walk is very exhausting, but by bicycle you can do the walk in the fourth part and the experience is wonderful. On the other hand, being close to the city, it is easy to reach its location. It is important to say that in this place every year because of Ibarra's festivities, there are parties in different points of the park, in these points people concentrate to be able to enjoy the music that they want as an example, one place is for tropical music, in another one for people who like rock and that's why people not only from the city but from other cities go to visit this place and enjoy this great party called "TARIMAS". It has courts to play football, basketball and bolyball. In this place they meet to practice their favorite sports. The walks with pets is another attraction, many people like to go for a walk with their pets because it has green areas and they can be free and another point in favor is that you can go for a jog in the morning because it is a very safe place. A very nice experience.

In the city of Ibarra you can find a great shopping center, it is called Laguna Mall. Laguna Mall is an amazing place but the most interesting thing is that you can find a cinema called StarCines. I think it is a great cinema, I have been there a few times and the attention is very good, you can find the popcorn store, the candy store, food and some desserts. When I entered the room I saw a well organized place with very comfortable seats and the appropriate space. I think it is a fabulous place to spend time and enjoy with friends and family.

Ibarra San Miguel Arcángel viewpoint IMBABURA-IBARRA From the San Miguel Arcangel viewpoint you can admire the entire city of Ibarra with its direct view of Cerro Imbabura, Guayabillas Protective Forest, seen from the left towards the Yahuarcocha lagoon. At the top of the viewpoint stands the monument of San Miguel Arcangel, patron and protector of the city. The image of the Archangel Saint Michael is 13 meters and its base is 9 meters. There are handicraft shops whose services are organized to be provided with a site to prevent the safety of visitors. 2 km away is the hill of Yuracrucito used for paragliding. The climate is moderate allowing it to be enjoyed throughout the year, with an average temperature of 17º C. Its location is adjacent to the south-east of the city of Ibarra. This site is a natural viewpoint from where you have an excellent view of the city of Ibarra and its surroundings such as San Antonio de Ibarra, La Esperanza, lomas de Azaya, Loma de Guayabillas, Yuracruz and elevations such as Imbabura, Cubilche, Cunrro, Cotacachi , among other. Handicraft and food stores have been located, whose owners are organized in the Alto de Reyes Merchants Association, who have planned a site to prevent the safety of visitors. By private vehicle on via Yurachucito, on Loma Alto de Reyes in the Priorato neighborhood, 15 minutes from the center of the city of Ibarra The highlights of Mirador Arcángel San Miguel Lagoon • Yahuarcocha Lagoon: This lagoon is surrounded by hills and natural viewpoints that are suspended towards the south-west side, mostly eroded. It presents an environment of crops, farms and indigenous lands framed by the Angochagua mountain range. • Tolas del Tablon: Las Tolas are located to the east of Laguna de Yahuarcocha on a high promontory (about 200 meters above the lake) in the only esplanade of the Cordillera de Angochagua, which apparently was created. According to the samples collected and analyzed from the site using the carbon 14 method, they date from 1470 AD. C. and the construction of these Tolas oscillates between the years 700-1525. • Autodromo Internacional de Yahuarcocha: This autodrome has been used for national and international automobile competitions and temporary practices since 1970. It is modern in style and has two motorways with a total area of 192,000 m2, the first of which has 150 000 m2 and the second has 42,000 m2. • Tolas de Socapamba: It is a mound site located 4 km from the Yahuarcocha Lagoon, at the foot of the Cordillera de Angochagua on one side of the Panamericana Norte, between the hot climate of the Chota Valley and the humid-dry mesothermic of La Hoya Internacional in an arid place. I love this place. I recommend that you visit one of the main activities that can be done is photography but the most important thing is to spend time that allows you to relax having a spectacular view.
