Great place to bring the kids for a day at the beach. It’s a freshwater lake about 3 miles around, so there’s plenty of room. Lots of activities for the kids, clean restrooms and a food truck. Volleyball courts and plenty of parking, $5 per car. Future activities are planned.

This park has been nicely renovated with a splash area, exercise equipment, performance area, and plenty of places to sit and read. Good views of the river and an easy walk into NPR for ice cream or a meal.

We are a Stand Up Paddleboard lesson and tour company that specializes in "Board Meetings" for couples, families and small groups that want better... better instruction, better equipment, and better guidance and location to start and end your river experience. We don't guarantee that you will see manatee but we know where to guide you to likely spots. We are a full service operation that offers pictures of your excursion. We have a private dock and you can even take a shower and change after your tour). For the experienced SUP enthusiast we have three types of boards from beginner, touring and race along with Quickblade carbon fiber paddles.
Brought my sister and her new husband out to the springs for their first time SUP. We had such a great time. Got to explore the springs on a gorgeous day. Water was crystal clear and paddle boards were in excellent condition. Pam and husband were very friendly and helpful. Perfect day activity.

This park is in a crowded suburban area, but when in the park, it's quiet and natural. There is good hiking and kayaking/ canoeing. There are many types of birds here to observe.

My friend recommended The Kayak Shack because how great the people that run the store so we got are rental through them. After the kayak at weeki wachee river we got back to are hotel at clearwater beach. We meet some locals that lives in Tampa area and we got to talk about experience in the weeki wachee river. I told the locals that we didn't see clear blue water its all murky water and we've been kayaking for a few hours. He said the weeki wachee is the most beautiful place to see. He mention if we started at roger park, I said yes that were we start on are kayaks. He said that its the end part of the river that's why the water is so murky. He said the kayak shack should have brought us up to the top of the weeki wachee River and kayak down. The top of the River is were the clear blue water is. The kayak shack didn't told us anything it. They told us to start paddling up the river all the way at the top of the river were you can see the clear blue water and manatee. To make is worst, you are paddling against the river current because you're going up the river not down the river. The locals said you got rip off because The kayak shack should told us about not taking you at the top of the river before you start your rentals but they failed to tell us. So I look on there website to see if its listed on there page anything about them starting at the bottom or taking you at the head (top) of the river. I did some searching on their page of course its not on there front page of there website because they don't want people to see it. I found it on the "ABOUT US" tab you will see a small box in the middle of the page that says they won't take you to the top of the river anymore due to new rules and regulations. You will miss the notice if you scroll fast on your computer and don't read it. I'm posting this review so people can be aware before they rent their kayaks through "THE KAYAK SHACK" unless you want to paddle up against the river current going up, more power because it's not worth it. Paddling against the current is exhausting, takes hours to get to the top, by the time you get to the top you will be exhausted. If anyone wants to go see the weeki wachee river go with a kayak rental company that will take you to the head (top) of the river and kayak down. I don't want anybody to get similar experience and disappointment.

Visit by confirmed appointment only, Donations Welcome and Appreciated for tours
Just a few miles out of Wesley Chapel, Florida, this non-profit true bird sanctuary for parrots, macaws, and cockatoos offers one a chance to visit literally a hundred or so birds that have been abandoned by their previous owners and cared for here for life. As these birds live up to 100 years many of them will be here long before we are gone.
Be sure to call for an appointment for a visit to this sanctuary and then plan on making a donation to this worthy work. There is nothing like walking into the main aviary and have a macaw or two land on your shoulder and eat almonds right out of your hand. Many of these birds have been taught various human songs and phrases--hilarious to hear them go into their routines.
This sanctuary is dedicated to the care and well-being of these birds. They do not sell, trade, or offer for adoption any of the birds in the sanctuary. This is their home for life, allowing them to mingle with similar birds on outdoor open-flight conditions.
Anyone living in the area can ask to be a volunteer to help feed these birds and maintain their quarters.

Because of hundreds of safety violations, USA Flea Market has been permanently closed. It was a tragedy waiting to happen and the town acted appropriately to protect the public. Hundreds of safety violations were cited including faulty wiring. I actually liked the place but never felt safe since exits were never clearly marked and the buildings seemed to be rundown. Hopefully a new and better flea market will replace it. I feel bad for the vendors who have to go elsewhere to sell their goods.

Variety, condition and price seriously disappointing and could not get a single volunteer to offer assistance or answer my questions, ALL were too busy visiting with each other and discussing where to visit when in Germany. Left disappointed, empty handed, and unhappy.
