Above the western shore of Hemlock Lake in New York’s renowned Finger Lakes Wine Region stands O-Neh-Da & Eagle Crest Vineyards, one of America’s oldest wineries. Established in 1872 as O-Neh-Da Vineyard, the Winery was originally established by Rochester’s first Bishop to produce premium sacramental wine for local churches. Today, we produce small-batch table wines made from 100% Finger Lakes-grown grapes, while maintaining operation of the oldest sacramental winery in the New World. Nature inspires our wine making today. We honor each unique cool-climate harvest, producing unadulterated local wines at a fair price. Medal-winning dry, sweet, Vinifera, native, hybrid, white, blush, and red wines are offered at the Vineyard on Hemlock Lake. Take the drive out and see us at the tasting room open daily. Cheers!
Located off the beaten path, Eagle Crest offers a great selection and friendly atmosphere. Originally started to make sacramental wines, they are located in a building rich with history and now offer wines to suit every palate. We enjoyed our visit very much although it took a couple of tries to find them open-check the website ahead of time!

We visited the farm for a tour w/ local and out-of-town family. As mentioned in their brochure I called to set up a mutually convenient tour time.
We were fortunate in the timing since a baby had been born a few days earlier...what an experience to feel its soft coat!! They certainly are curious animals and interesting to watch and be as up close to them as they want to be with us. Mark gave an excellent, informative and unhurried tour and answered our numerous questions as we went along. Quite an impressive operation!
We enjoyed browsing (& purchasing) in the shop. This is a stop we'd certainly bring others to visit.
They were easy to find - we just put their address in our GPS. The sign on the road directed us where to enter. A nice country setting on a back road ... exactly where you'd expect to find a farm. :-)

John and the family at Canadice Lake Outfitters will get you kayaking on Canadice Lake in no time. With friendly service, and really nice equipment, including clean kayaks, new life jackets and oars, you'll have everything you need.
John was even nice enough to throw in a cold pack with water for our trip.
He launches you out, then comes back later to get your equipment.

I missed the little sign and turned around before I got there thinking I was going the wrong way when the sign showed Dead End. It was just a little farther. There are three 60' waterfalls there. Picnic tables near the parking area with plenty of trees. The first waterfall, (French Hill Falls) is a very nice waterfall and it's also where the trail ends. To get to Grimes Falls, you have to follow the creek up. Crossing it a couple times walking along the edges. It's well worth the wet feet when you see the falls. The third one I never made it to as you have to follow the climbing ropes over Grimes Falls and follow the creek a little farther and getting over Grimes Falls is a pretty steep climb

We are a nano brewery located in the heart of the Finger Lakes region. We're just minutes from Honeoye Lake and Bristol Mountain. All of our beer is made in house while sourcing as many local ingredients as possible. Cozy atmosphere with live music and the occasional food truck.
Great place. Nice setup. They put a lot of work into this place. Right next to the wizard if clay. They had 5 beers. The watermelon wheat was good. They had 3 IPA'S for people who like the hoppy beer. They do have some new brews coming soon. We will be back to try them!

Most visitors know of Harriet Hollister if they are cross country ski buffs as the groomed trails here are famous and the 3000' elevation means there's snow on the trails when others have melted. Those same wonderful (free) ski trails turn to wonderful hiking trails in the warmer months. Fantastic views overlooking Honeoye Lake are a treat about 1/2 mile in from the entrance. Terrific maps are found at the website for groomed ski and hiking trails. This area is open to hunting in the late fall, so best to visit any other time but then. But don't forget to squeeze in a visit once the leaves have turned before the hunting opens -- magnificent! A true hidden gem cherished by locals!

By Appointment Only! Tree Creations is a growing tree house village (at a private residence), consisting of themed tree houses connected with rope bridges for all to enjoy! (by appointment)
This is an amazing place to visit. It has been on our to see list for a couple years and we finally made it. Well worth it. Even my teenagers enjoyed it! When we first arrived Joe greeted us at our car with a friendly hello and told us about the treehouses. He let us go explore and then came and checked on us. He answered our questions and pushed my daughter on the amazing swing. His 2 daughters came and cheerfully talked to us and played with us in the trees. Although it is free, we were happy to put some dollars in the donation box they have at the entrance. Thanks Joe and family!

Formed in 1952, the Antique Wireless Museum is dedicated to the history of the technologies used to communicate from the first telegram to today's wireless text messaging. Located in the Finger Lakes Region of New York, the Museum is just a short drive from Rochester and Canandaigua. Visit the Museum and experience 200 years of communication history. Walk through the actual Delano, California Voice of America Station Control Room and a 250,000 Watt Collins Transmitter. See the first cell phone (cell phone number 1), hear the thunder of a 1,000 Watt spark transmitter demonstrated, see the Western Union Museum exhibit, the Titanic Radio Room exhibit, the first transistor radio ever made, walk into a 1925 radio store, see the first television in Rochester, and much, much more. Kids and teens are always admitted free.
We had three generations tour the museum together and there was something for everyone in the new, well-lit facility. Our docent was friendly, and able to address questions expertly from both the engineer and the child in our group.
