Picnic at Robinson Dam and meander through pine plantations along the old jeep tracks. What a great place! The stunning garden seems endless, with paths to new areas all over, the collection of gems is extensive and the owner is really nice. The kids loved the wonder the garden creates

The Hogsback Arboretum is absolutely beautiful. Many of the plants were in flower when we visited in early October. It is peaceful, safe to visit and full of bird life. We went several times as it was not possible to take it all in with one visit. It is a must visit for anyone going to Hogsback. A walk in the forest will provide the opportunity to see some of our oldest indigenous trees and you can add a number of forest birds to your life list, including the endangered Cape parrot.

St Patricks is a small church set high in the Hogsback mountains and has beautiful views. Unfortunately no services due to COVID during our visit.

The Chocolate Shoppe is situated on the main road of this quaint village. We sell handcrafted chocolates made from fine Belgian couverture chocolate as well as delicious Italian style Gelato.
wickedly delicious! the salted caramel is to die for! I also loved the cappucino - actually every one I tasted was so yummy I couldn't stop eating! Only pity was I had to share my box with my hubby! Unfortunately haven't visited the shop - was given a box of chocolates as a gift from my kids who visited Hogsback last weekend.

Fabulous lady helped us here. Gave us a map of the area and explained in detail where to go and how to get there, the length of walks as well as how easy or difficult. Great knowledge of the area, super friendly and clearly passionate about her village.
