Well maintained trail will take you through the scrub and down to the Sound where you can fish or just sit and watch for birds. Photographic opportunities are great and the visitors center has a great museum with living animals from the area

The wife and I ride here all the time and we have a great time. Bring your sunscreen though, this is all low-cover scrub brush so there’s not really any shade. Majority of the trails are great but some are very soft. The volunteer crew is constantly working on improvements.

Blowing Rocks Preserve

We enjoyed every lovely second that we explored Blowing Rocks Preserve. There are two parking lots that were mainly full on the day we visited, but it appears that the turnaround is quick. We got a spot after waiting a few minutes on the side with the Education Center. The restrooms are available inside the building that is open until 4:30 PM. There are trails and we walked around the Lagoon and there is also a butterfly garden. Once we crossed the street to access the beach side, there are more beautiful trails that allow you to feel like you're in your own personal paradise. There is a $2 admission fee and a self-pay station. We walked the beach in both directions and enjoyed the fishermen with the setups. The entire place was immaculate and I'm pleased to say, litter-free - Great job everyone!!! The rocks are mesmerizing and I get why everyone says you have to see it for yourself. Bring a blanket, picnic and enjoy!

Hobe Sound Nature Center

The Hobe Sound Nature Center is a private, non-profit organization, dedicated to environmental awareness and education. The Center is a cooperating association with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and located at the Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge. The Center is home to over twenty different species of animals as well having many other interactive displays. One of our unique features is that our resident animals are able to be taken out and be touched by children. The Nature Center offers both on and off-site native wildlife presentations and field experiences to the local community. We host many events throughout the year including weekend special events, seasonal lecture series, and a summer nature camp for students ages 6 to 12. A highly popular event is our sea turtle walk program, held from the end of May through mid July.

The Hobe Sound Nature Center is a great place to go, as it is free to visit and has many activities, all of which are kid friendly! Inside there are different species of rescued reptiles, amphibians, birds, and small mammals. Employees and volunteers are helpful in explaining more about animals, will take them out for further observation, and do feedings at certain times. Outback, there is a trail that gives you a good hike, or out front there is easy access to the beach. The Nature Center hosts summer camps and group activities such as sea turtle walks. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Peck Lake Park is not very busy, but has many picnic tables set underneath covers. Would recommend for picnics! There is also a trail near the end of the park. While the boardwalk is a little long, it is worth the view of the Intercoastal. At the end of the walk, you have access to the water, and good view of it on a large, railed platform that also has another covered table (which you'll be able to see fish and other marine life from on good days).

From dawn to dusk this place is amazing. Come before sunrise and watch mother nature at her best as a new day is born. Come during the day, bring your family, your dog ( stay outside the flags please) and enjoy the beautiful beach and ocean while being watched by the lifeguards. The trip to the beach via Bridge Ave. is in itself a natural wonder. Enjoy.
