We're enjoyed the bike trails. If you take the path all the way around the island, the pathway is not as well maintained on the marsh side as it is over by the beach. It's well marked and had signs everywhere.

Hilton Head Distillery is a producer of craft, small batch rum and vodka. Guests are invited to enjoy a tour of the facility and a tasting flight of our products. We also have an extensive gift shop featuring Hilton Head branded items and gifts from local craftsman. Call ahead or visit our website to book your visit! Hilton Head Distillery was founded by two world-class, small batch distilleries that came together and brought their respective expertise in Carolina whiskey and Caribbean rum to the table, sharing stories, traditions, and techniques along the way. The result was the creation of a high-tech facility where expertise and craft meets innovation. We measure, cut, and blend every element with a careful, artisanal hand, using age-old distillation techniques coupled with new-age technology and a local twist. Come visit us and take a tour. We'd love to show you our craft and swap stories over some great craft spirits!
We went to this place for the "45 minute tour" and taste - having been to the Guinness tour in Ireland and several wine tours in Canada and the US - it was a terrible waste of time! We paid $50 - two "tour and taste" and one without the taste - the tour was a 4 minute video and about 8 or 10 minutes in the distilling space - which was not operating because the two people running it were not the that day (maybe should have shut it down that day then) - afterwards we stood around the bar area where you had the option of doing 5 shots of their different product or 2 cocktails - with no food or snacks available - and they just kept pouring so you wee out and the next group could start - you could go to any bar in the area and get the same experience for a whole lot less - and at least have something around to absorb all the alcohol! They need to charge less or invest more in designing a better experience!

I came here to learn how to play last year, never having played a paddle or racket sport, and I was anxious. Mark, who runs the pickleball program, knows how to teach the game and makes those with little, or no experience, comfortable in the learning process. If your on HHI or in the area and have been thinking about playing pickleball, try it here, it's the best environment you'll find to learn, play and to have a great time whether you a newbie or experienced player.

We are enhanced by the Equanimity of the Lenten Mass and Reconciliation.
The Spring Gardens at St. Francis by the Sea are beautiful, and we always enjoy visiting with members of the St. Francis by the Sea congregation.
Whether one is Catholic or not, St. Francis by the Sea is a Classic Hilton Head Island experience.

Went with our Grandchildren and Dtr and Son in law for a week
We went here on advice of friend who hadn't been there for quite a few yrs
It was very crowded,no parking at all, except on street and there was no places, supposedly had playground but we asked the tourist guide walking on beach who said there wasn't a playground here.
We had a rental home on Folley beach which was beautiful, not crowded however you need to come by 9:00 am or you won't be able to park .
Found a park midway but some of the equipment was broken and no shade ,so very hot.
Best to just rent bikes and ride along the shaded paths or swim in your house pool

If the beach gets boring, families head to this interactive museum to learn about the history and wildlife of sea islands.
For those with capacity to be interactive without a screen or electronic gadget, this is the place! We paid for a salt marsh tour (reserve several days in advance to make sure you get a spot). Carol Clemens, a master naturalist, is also a master teacher and communicator. Two hours of outdoor, sometimes hands-on instruction passed quickly for even the youngest in our group. Well paced, humorous and super informative was her presentation. It was worth three presentations. She was exception as an expert guide on the side. She was careful not to “brag and drag” or perform as a “sage on the stage.” She was extremely attentive to both children and adults. I would do another tour at Coastal Discovery In a heartbeat.

Folly Beach is an excellent Hilton Head Beach. The Town of Hilton Head has provided a very nice Beach for visitors and residents.
Folly Beach is a neat couples/family park/beach.
Changing rooms, showers, restroom, and “some” Parking.
Folly Beach is one of several HHI Special Needs park, and a “short” Board Walk interfaces with a HHI long blue rubber mat.
Folly Beach is a great HHI Beach, and we recommend.

Encompassing four islands and 4,000 acres, the refuge aims to preserve and protect endangered natural habitats and species. At 1,200 acres, Pinckney is the largest of the refuge's islands and the only one open to the public.
Just off the highway, this wildlife refuge seems to be a bird-watching destination, but is very notable as a place to walk, jog, or just enjoy the waterways and salt marshes of the area. It was very enjoyable and I was glad I stopped for a long walk.

´Tis a grand day.
We observe that Dayton has received 3”+ inches of snow, and at HHI 60 degrees and breezy makes for great beach walking.

Located adjacent to the Skull Creek boathouse restaurant, the Hilton Head Boathouse is a busy area with outdoor bar, waterfront boat launch with great marina and creek views. We have had brunch, lunch and dinners at this awarded location. Enjoy low country dining while relaxing along the water.
