My favorite thing to do in Sea Pines, where is do vacation rentals, is to ride bikes, walk or run the trail system. They are well maintained, well marked and long enough to satisfy any level of exercise ability. A great way to spend time with friends and family.

Here at Hilton Head Distillery, our approach is simple: A great drinking experience should be shared with great people. With new and improved tour and tasting options for all ages (21 and over to consume alcohol, of course), exceptionally drinkable spirits, and a relaxed, family-friendly environment, we embrace the idea that enjoying craft spirits is a unique voyage best shared. So, grab your crewmates and join us for a tour and tasting. We’d love to get to know you. Our last Tour and Tasting will be at 5pm in order to give our customers ample time to enjoy your experience at Hilton Head Distillery. We will be open until 6pm for bottle purchases.
Each of us did the tasting offered and we enjoyed three mini cocktails each. The tasting room was stylish. We received shot glasses with our tasting. The cocktails were unique and we each liked all of what we ordered. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The complementary tour was interesting! The facility was sparkling clean and I feel like I know so much more about the process of making liquor. We would certainly visit again!

Walk through mushy swamps on elevated boardwalks at this 400-acre nature preserve.
Sea Pines Forest Preserve is a great family outing, it has terrific and extensive bike trails, beaches, rental homes, and great places to eat as well as sights to see. There is a fee to enter but I understand it is for the upkeep and reforestation project. You can rent bikes and have them deliver them to your rental, beach and umbrella rental as well. You can also ride your bike on the beach. The pristine forest is well maintained and kept.

Encompassing four islands and 4,000 acres, the refuge aims to preserve and protect endangered natural habitats and species. At 1,200 acres, Pinckney is the largest of the refuge's islands and the only one open to the public.
have comfortable walking shows, this place has a ton of walking paths, tons of birds and aviary life, they have a alligator in the ibis pond, lots to look at, tons of wetlands, be prepared for physical exertion, there is no restrooms, no water. There are a ton of mosquitoes, be forewarned, they will; swarm you, if you stop for even a second, cover yourself, and use repellent liberally.

If the beach gets boring, families head to this interactive museum to learn about the history and wildlife of sea islands.
When we were tourists, we never visited Honey Horn. We missed a lot. Now it is a must see place to visit and to take guests. There are nature tours, history tours, crabbing pots, lectures. displays, and a camellia garden to die for. Also public art, marsh tacky horses, and a lab in which young people can learn about the wildlife, fauna, and all that makes the lowcountry special. Although there is a charge for the tours, entrance to the site itself is free and self guided pamphlets are available. On some days, you can see skilled Gullah weavers at work.

Visitors stroll here, bikers bike, during Thanksgiving weekend a "choo-choo train" shuttle was a major attraction for the kids. There are several good restaurants in the immediate area. We spent ten days at Folly Field Beach recently and really enjoyed this beach. Their was a nice boardwalk that ended with a blue tarp type of of walkway that makes it very easy to pull your beach wagon. The beach is clean & not crowded. Dogs are allowed on the beach this time of year & it was fun to watch them playing in the water.

The Official Daufuskie Island Ferry is delightful, enjoyable, and comfortable. During the 40 minute ride you will see dauphins, seabirds and lovely shoreline vistas. The yacht-like ferry features a spacious outside deck and a comfortable teak-lined climate-controlled cabin. It runs on a fixed daily schedule, rain or shine. Daily parking is free. There is no charge for carry-on luggage/bags/coolers/bicycles which passengers carry-on themselves. Children 5 years old and younger ride for free. Tickets can be purchased on-line from the ferry website or by credit card when boarding the ferry. The ferry leaves from Buckingham Landing at the foot of the Hilton Head bridge on the Bluffton side. Reservations are encouraged. Captain Richard Inglis is accommodating and professional and his crew is exceptionally helpful.
The ferry to and from Daufuskie Island was quick, easy ride and the team offered great customer service! We missed the last boat over on Saturday due to several traffic issues in Florida, and the team set us up with a water taxi (additional cost) but credited the cost of the ferry ride, which they were not obligated to do.
