Harvard Alpaca Ranch is located on 5.7 acres of beautiful farmland, easily accessible from Route 495 and Route 2 in the heart of apple country. We are open for farm tours on most weekends, 10:00am and 5:00pm. Stop by and meet the herd and see our facility. Our alpaca shop is open on weekends for all your alpaca product needs. We have finished products as well as yarn made from our alpacas.
People who run the ranch were super knowledgeable and answered all of our questions without hesitation. They were extremely kind and made the experience very enjoyable!

Our family visited Carlson Orchards for the first time in October. We went on a weekday and easily found parking. I was truly appreciative that you paid for the size bag you got and not per person like at other high priced orchards. We got a large bag and felt the pricing was perfect! My sons picked apples and I snapped photos. The orchard was beautiful and well organized. The apples are so fresh and delicious. On the way out we made a visit to the farm store and they had everything from pies to ice cream to hard cider. I would make a visit back just to go to the store. My boys especially liked the honey sticks and dried apple slices. There was also a little restaurant in a adorable red barn with outdoor and indoor seating. I was really wishing we hadn't eaten lunch before coming, but we will definitely be back!

Fruitlands Museum is comprised of four separate museums, showcasing Transcendentalists, Shakers, Native Americans and American paintings on 210 acres of meadows and woods with 2.5 miles of trails and a breathtaking view of the Nashua River Valley. The Fruitlands Museum Store sells fine crafts by local artists and the Museum Café, which is open during the main season (April 15 through November 7), focuses on locally sourced, sustainable cuisine reflective of the heritage of New England.
As others have indicated, the property is situated on a hill, but affords some amazing views. We were glad we had great walking shoes to visit the buildings on the property. The guides at each building provided us an overview which was very informative. We enjoyed all the exhibitions that were on display, including Visions of Design: Parallels in Mid-Century Modern and Shaker Furniture; A New England State of Mind: The Pioneering Collector, Clara Sears and A New View: Landscapes from the Permanent Collection. We hope to return in the fall to see the change of season as well as take advantage of the hiking trails.
