As a birder, this place was incredible. We woke up to 15 degrees. The heated bird blind was the place to be. We must have seen 3,000 sandhill cranes. There were lots of Gadwalls, mallards, greater white footed goose, northern shovelers, American wigeons and snow goose. Much much more wildlife.

The memorial is in Priceville and on highway 67 (east of the I-65 exit). It has a touching tribute to local veterans and several pieces of old military equipment to look at. Several parades and ceremonies are held here every year. Anyone with military backgrounds or family military connections should visit here.
I remember being here for the dedication several years ago and it is even more impressive now.
Way to go Priceville!

Large, municipal-operated aquatic center featuring slides, diving boards, lazy river feature, spray toys, kiddie areas, and concessions.
It is nice and new, alot of improvements since being there a few years b4, but so are prices and so are any food or drinks you get. Cannot take in any food or water, have to buy there, and the kids working there not so friendly, diffinetly not welcoming. The toilet area needs to be tended to more for cleanliness. Probably okay if you get a pass, but not just for a visit. Oh yeah the debit machines were not working when I went, so had to leave and get money.

Water park, playground, beach and mini-golf course.
The only place to enjoy the water slides and wave pools in north al. It is a very clean facility. We visit there several times a year. Food is available pizza and fast food. Tubes are available to use at slides. You can rent your float for the lazy river wave pool and just carry it with you. No smoking allowed in the park. It is also great for smaller children also. They have an area designated for the youngsters that is large enough to accommodate the parent also.

The splash pad is FREE. Open from 8am-dusk. It is motion operated by movement in front of the red or blue cones in the splash pad. It is concreted so makes it easily accessible for wheel chairs as well as fun for children of all ages. There is a small adjoining playground that is also wheel chair accessible that has rubber around it. They have bathrooms and water fountains on site as well as a cover pavilion. They have benches located around the splash pad so you can also sit closer to the pad.

Over 2,000 species of insects, birds and animals are displayed at this museum.
It takes about 45 min to go thru. Very well presented. The displays were great. Lots of bugs you've never seen before. It has a small gift section, reasonably priced. If you need something to fill in a little time it's great. And it's free.

Scenic overlay including mountains, trees, and creeks. An 18-hole par 71 golf course with 6,500 yds of Bermuda Greebs, putting greens, meeting facilities, pro shop, golf lessons, snack bar/grill, driving range, conference center perfect for weddings, receptions and parties. Quail Creek Golf Inn offers 12 mini suites and team room. Lodging available.
My church group has had a retreat here for the past several years, and we're always delighted. While the Inn is not new or newly renovated, it is clean and offers very comfortable beds with new bedding. The catering staff consistently offers delicious food that we always look forward to. To top off the great experience the scenery is beautiful, complete with walking trails. We look forward to next year!

Decently clean and very safe park. The playground is ok, not the biggest. There is a paved trail that loops the entire park that is always busy with joggers and people walking their dogs. There is an 18 hole disc golf course spread through the park area, with three holes in an awkward spot behind some sports fields, but it's still my family's favorite course in the area. A smaller playground is located near the baseball fields and is good for smaller kids when they get bored watching games. The park also has several pavilions and picnic table is shaded areas.
