A cave with stone-décor: calcite drapery, eaves of stalactites, a fence of stalagmites, and flowstone.
This was a nice one hour cave tour. Very informative. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. My teenage kids enjoyed it. It’s about 350 steps and a quarter mile walk under ground. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with mobility issues. Nice gift shop too.

This wonderful gem of a museum, tucked away in a side street to Glasgow is well worth a trip just to see it's displays. It reminds me of a miniature Victoria & Albert Museum also known as the "Nation's Attic". It has a little something for everyone and the displays are very well done; spanning the history of the area from prehistoric to modern times touching on just about every aspect of life in the area. I cannot recommend this place too much.

Historic location in Glasgow, great venue for movie or live event. If you grew up in the Glasgow area then you know the stories to tell your kids or grandkids. The seating is comfortable and the atmosphere is like nothing else you will find in this area.

Onyx Cave is a 30 minute tour with many formations and few stairs. Tours are led by experienced, knowledgeable guides and are appropriate for the whole family. The cave stays a cool comfortable 60 degrees year-round, a welcome break from the summer heat. Also photography is allowed on our tours, so bring your camera and capture the natural beauty of the cave.
The smaller, less expensive, places always hold the biggest and best surprises and real experiences!!! This place is a 'gem' in the middle of all the attractions. The little dude that was there when I went was a plethora of information and knowledge. Not to mention adorable. He was the same age as my youngest son and so cool! He has long hair and glasses, if anyone could tell me his name I would be so grateful! I loved this place and will be back there again one day! Unfortunately I could not do the cave tour, but there is my reason for returning. The place is not overwhelming with too much stuff and over-rated prices. It was a great find for a rock hound. Love and light and many blessings to the folks that own and manage it!!! Namaste~ Ps. the questions on here are a little vague. Parking and entrance to the rock shop is free but the tour for the cave is only $8...Mammoth Cave is $20 and up to $70, most of the stuff in the gift shops are made in China. Support local and family owned business. These folks are awesome!

I drove two hours from Berea KY to visit the dinosaur world exhibit. It was worth the visit. Next time my grandkids visit me in Kentucky, I will be sure to take them there. There is a museum with actual and simulated artifacts. There is a man made cave with a 20 minute or so movie. There is a playground, a picnic area, a sand sifting station for kids to find treasures in such as sharks teeth and other fossils, to take home, for free (3 per child). It was a great sunny day activity, with a really nice souvenir shop and friendly service. Nice restrooms painted like Jurassic World. Fun time!

A must see if you enjoy originality! The homemade chili was delicious, the upscale hot dog fabulous but the highlight was chat with the owner. Genuinely nice guy who loves what he does!!

While up in Glasgow, Kentucky I happened upon Fort Williams. I walked around the parameter and tried to imagine the events that happened here during the Civil War. No doubt there was a flurry of activity here. You can enter the fort either by walking through its gates or by driving your vehicle to a parking area in the center of the grounds. (I did see several cars where people were enjoying their lunch and the surrounding view).
There is only one civil war canon in the park but it makes for a great photo opportunity. You can walk the fort in 15 minutes or less, however for a place to reflect, it is wonderful.
ABOUT THE FORT
Fort Williams was built in the spring of 1863. It was attacked on Oct 6 by Confederate Co. John Hughs and his 25th Tennessee Infantry. Union troops under Major Samuel Martin was surprised. Over 200 horses captured, part of the fort was burned, and 142 men were taken prisoner (later paroled).
General Lewis, commander of the famous “Orphan Brigade” is buried just down the hill from the fort.
OTHER HISTORY
In December, 1862, John Hunt Morgan led an army of 3,000 men on a raid through Southern Kentucky. He fought various battles and destroyed railroads and telegraph lines along his route. One stop was in Glasgow, where he was met by three companies of Michigan Cavalry. He drove out the Michigan troops and held control of Glasgow for three days while he destroyed Union rail and communication facilities. He fought a small battle at Bearwallow before moving on.
Wishing you well,

Atmosphere is the usual bowling alley, arcade. Better to buy ticket for entire day to bowl, play Time Freak or Roller Skate. Be prepared to pay large amounts of money for soda pop, snacks or food. The arcade is the same as any arcade I've been to. Spend lots of money at this place. If you stay all day, you can bowl as much as you wish. Shoes are included. You can buy socks if you forgot yours, for another fee.

Stopped by the 212 on the Main, however I could only view the contents of the location through the windows (there are on an interesting schedule and I would call prior to visiting to ensure that you could get into the location. However, the items that I did see through the window were interesting. Some were one of a kind paintings.
