Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

One of the most unique and exciting ways to explore a city as picturesque as Paris is on a vintage-styled Vespa scooter. Left Bank Scooters offer small group guided Scooter Tours of Paris and to the Chateau of Versailles. Choose from a Paris Highlights Tour, Whole of Paris tour, and Chateau of Versailles and surrounding countryside tour. All tours start and finish from your hotel or apartment anywhere in Paris. Tours are in English or French. Tour groups are kept as small as possible, normally between 1 to 2 scooters, making them very personal, safe and always good fun. You can drive your own Vespa, ride as a driver/passenger with your partner, or if you aren't a confident driving a scooter you can take a Passenger Tour by motorbike sidecar.

Supported by Van Cleef & Arpels, L’ÉCOLE, School of Jewelry Arts introduces the public to the world of jewelry.
As anyone who knows me, knows well, I love sparkly things - magpie genes maybe. A blog tipped us off to a jewellery exhibition of the Lacloche makers - as famous in their day as Cartier, Boucheron etc. It was held at the School of Jewellery Arts and sponsored by another big name - Van Cleef & Arpels. Pieces were on loan from private collections all around the world - it was superb - even the catalogue was a work of art and it will seem almost criminal to throw it away. We did wonder how good the security could be at a school exhibition - however they did quite an amazing job - first the front desk, then into an elevator, then the front desk of the exhibition, then through another door, down some stairs, through a camera and seucirty code door, past the guard and the bag search and then up some stairs via the guard at the displays and finally we were there - and understood all the security. The pieces on display were incredible - one in particular, a cuff of diamonds looked like it could have been made yesterday and completely up; to the minute in style... Note: Admission was free.

The bar at Park Hyatt Bar Paris-Vendome is a place that is not suspected from the street, a well kept secret where connoisseurs and regulars find themselves regularly as in a den. We want our guests to feel good at the bar, wishing to come back knowing that they will be surprised at each visit. The bartenders of the team are great professionals and true mixology artists who stay warm and relaxed while adapting to the most extravagant desires and moods of customers.
