Originally a burgher hospital, founded in 1561, currently serves as a permanent exhibition of historical development of the town of Frydlant.There are stored unique foundations of a medieval bread furnace from the 16th century, which were found during reconstruction of the building and included in the exhibition. In the museum yard, there stands a working replica of the furnace.

Pseudo-Renaissance building built in the late 19th century, dominates the town. The central space is a ceremonial hall with three-part stained glass windows and original furniture. A part of the town hall is also a 48 meters high tower with a clock mechanism and an observation gallery open to public.
