You can stroll amid the ruins of this 17-acre estate, a former 19th-century sugarcane plantation village, which contains varied ecosystems from semi-arid cactus to lush green rain forest.
We stopped here for a couple of hours of history and botany. Amidst the ruins of an old sugar plantation, grows a garden full of plants brought to St. Croix by the various waves of settlers on the island. The ruins and the excellent map and guide tell the story of the plantation, the enslaved workers and the others who lived here. Most plants are identified with their common and Latin names.

Great Beach! Lots of fun watersports. The restaurant has good food and great frozen drinks. We had nice time here and visited twice while we were on the island. We would definitely recommend!

The road in is quite long and in poor shape dirt road with lots of potholes. But if you are comfortable with that it is worth the drive in. An off the beaten path destination no cost of admission and really worth seeing.

The day we went to Rainbow beach, it was not at all crowded. We were able to find some sea glass. Which was my reason for going there. I will say, that on cruise ship day, the place was packed, so I'd avoid going there on a day a ship is in port.

Estate Whim has long been known for its colonial-era Great House, slave quarters, and mill factory complex; but much more can be found on the museum’s twelve acres. Various museum exhibits include My Granny House, the Living Museum, and rotating exhibits in the North and South Exhibit Halls. Also located on the museum’s grounds is the Research Library & Archives, where visitors can conduct genealogical and historical research and purchase photographs from our unique photograph collection.
Estate Whim brings Caribbean history alive. This wonderfully restored and maintained plantation features sugar cane processing technologies of the past in a setting perfect for walking around and experiencing the past.

This bright-red historic fort in Frederiksted has a local history museum, courtyard and stables.
The view from the parapith is great, Be sure to spend time in the very well furnished commodore's quarters on the second floor above the arch. Train a cannon on your ship via your camera. . The exhibits are not that many. Don't know what effect this past year's storms had on the fort. Does give a feel for living back then with contrast enlisted and leader.. Was there two years ago in 2016

Frederiksted is packed with beautiful, historic structures. The buildings lining strand street, facing the beach are gorgeous. Unfortunately, as you move away from the beach, the buildings are less well maintained. There are multiple shops, bakeries, and restaurants.

I do not know where those negative reviers went to, but our tour was well received, lots of things to see and do for about 15 minuted before given a briefing on how their rum is made. (The tour guide seemed to be proud to be showing us the process and the step to making their rum.) Patricia D. nailed it on what we experience also. Great helpful and informative staff, the presentation was very interesting. They even threw in a funny list of different pirate phrases and their translations (many of these phrases come from the British Royal Navy!) I think it was because Captain Morgan was in historical fact, an admiral in the English Royal Navy! Rum tasting was actually very good we received 4 samples with different flavors and how to use them in mixed drinks. You also received your choice of one rum cocktail! Finally the gift shop. Some Captain Morgan souvenirs, rums, t-shirts, hats, and even some other alcoholic drinks that are (I am sure) part of their corporate holdings. The booze was reasonably priced and close to the prices on the ship. ( I even shelled out some good money for a Captain Moran 3 cornered hat! Altogether a pretty good visit, beter than what we had at the Barcardi Rum factory in Puerto Rico!
