The district referred to as Fourways (which is a collection of suburbs, including the traditional suburb of Fourways) is the fastest-developing commercial and residential hub in northern Sandton, north of Johannesburg, South Africa. The main access routes to Fourways are off the N1 at R511 William Nicol Drive, or alternatively along R564 Witkoppen Road. It is located mostly in Region E of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. It is roughly as far as one can go in the city before metropolitan Johannesburg dissolves into rolling hills, gamefarms and the capital Pretoria, 55 kilometres to the northeast. Hartebeespoort Dam and the Magaliesburg Mountains lie half an hour to the north-west. It is bordered by Bryanston to the east and south and Randburg to the west.

The Gin School Indaba in partnership with Inverroche Distillery is a fun and educational gin distilling experience where participants will learn more about the history and art of making gin. This interactive class teaches basic distilling methods and each “gin lover” will leave with their own 500ml bottle of hand-crafted botanical gin which they have made during the class It’s Gin o’ clock
Have you ever wondered about the origins of gin, how it gets it’s different flavours and smells? I made my own craft bottle last night thanks to the Gin School! Thanks Wayne for all the teaching, patience and wise experience. It was such a fun-filled experience and I am one of the few people that don’t imbibe! I would recommend this experience to anybody ... couples, families and and work colleagues. Really really awesome few hours. They take you the whole process from the ingredients, through the distilling process (yes you get to use your own still and goodies!) to bottling your own with labels! Do it! Great fun had by all ... with the last part being “No, taste mine - it’s the best!” :)))

Really great short excursion for reptile-mad kids. Very well maintained by knowledgeable enthusiasts who clearly have the animals’ best interests at heart. Our son was especially keen on spending most of his time studying the black mamba and other venomous snakes - very exciting! We also got to hold various animals, zip line over the croc enclosures, and top of the day with a pretty decent pizza. Would highly recommend.

We took our teenage kids to Bounce at Fourways mall this December for a 1 hour trampoline session . Parking is a nightmare currently due to the ongoing construction . We’ve been here a few times before and the kids are all au fait with the venue , rules and regulations. The venue is massive and a huge adrenaline rush jumping and wall running and playing dodgeball for an hour or two . The climbing walls and X park are great fun too . Highly recommended indoor outing .

We did Ten Pin Bowling on a bit of a cloudy day. It was a lot of fun, though I had not bowled in years. You can bowl barefoot and it is not a pricey way to spend an hour or so. Water and some crisps can be bought and no alcohol allowed so a safe place for children to enjoy themselves.
