This hands-on science Museum in Uptown Charlotte features exciting interactive exhibitions, a larger-than-life IMAX Dome Theatre and educational programs. We offer summer camps and birthday parties too.
This facility is consistently one of my favorite "accessible science" venues! Entertaining, engaging, and educational displays and activities are suited for all ages, with an emphasis on sparking the curiosity and wonder of children. Don't miss it when you visit (or live in) Charlotte!

We picked up a brochure at the visitor's center downtown and walked the short distance to this area. It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed seeing the different styles of architecture and reading the short history of each house.

Charlotte Comedy Theater & Training Center brought the art of improv comedy from Chicago to Charlotte in 2001. We perform award winning, high energy, interactive improv comedy. CCT is famous for performing both long and short form style improv, and cutting edge new forms. Their highly trained ensemble is witty, fearless and versatile with shows that include but are not limited to; long form shows, an all female show, story telling, competitive improv and improv games format (like Who's Line is it Anyway?). Tickets have remained at $10, and our classes have taught thousands of everyday people wanting to bring more laughter into their lives. CCT also is known for their inspiring corporate team building workshops. Shows are most Friday and Saturday nights 8pm (with some 10 pm shows). Reservations are hightly recommended as changes may occur and shows sell out, at charlotte comedy theater website The Venue, "Wet Willies" is 21 and up, and our shows are rated R for adult content.
My husband and I enjoyed the funny bus. It was a fun way to see the city and have some laughs! We would recommend!

I walked into the church during my lunch hour. It is a stunning building with colorful stained glass and a very large organ. Nice to have a quiet place to meditate in the bustle of center city Charlotte.
