Fun for a weekend stroll or family photo opportunity. See, feed and pet the goats. Great Sunday breakfast and fresh pies. Great place for weddings/showers and to buy plants/flowers. They have art shows and great art classes for adults. Jacquie Hughes taught an art class there and it was a lot of fun and very reasonable.

Stunning new architecture, including a "living roof" highlight this new branch library. After meeting with Susan and Mick at a wine dinner, my daughter and I were invited to a private tasting at their California style vineyard home. The entire experience was delightful. While sitting at the wine bar, with a beautiful view of the hills on the outside and the lovely artwork on the inside, Mike served us a cool salad to pair with his wines; including Voignier, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noirs and my favorite – “Blackbird Merlot,” a delicious blend of Merlot and Syrah.
With stories and history behind the grape, winemaking, and the labels, Mick entertained us. We received some fun lessons. To conclude our visit, Mick led us on a tour of the vineyard grounds and gardens.
A trip to Casa Tiene Vista Vineyard is a charming, enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

Sister recommended a visit. Drove the 10 mile scenic route with 10% grade north of Fallbrook. Was much better than expected as hundreds of gourds were sorted, cleaned, and ready for shipping and selling. Several carving and painting classes of the gourds are offered on site. Something different and beautiful drive.

We stumbled upon this treasure on a Sunday afternoon and decided to pull in. A local grower devotes an acre or two to growing multiple varieties of pumpkins -- some huge, some uniquely colored. Turban, pie, gourds, white, green, all sorts of sizes and shapes. Visitors can take a wheelbarrow and pick from the vines or piles. Great photo opportunity with kids. The farmer and his wife dress up and talk to patrons. Prices range from $1 for mini ones to $30+ for the super sized ones. There are hose rings that determine price according to diameter. A great fall outing.

We are locals and I was searching for a place to buy organic cage free eggs and stumbled apon this cute little local farm! The owners offered myself, my Mom and my two boys (12yrs and 8yrs old) a tour after I told them I had kids! For a fee they offer summer classes and classes for Girl Scout and other groups, on how to properly care for and the basics on raising farm animals! The animals were extremely well taken care of and the owners were so enthusiastic about doing it! We left with 4 dozen eggs!

The winery is actually in Rainbow, north of Fallbrook an a winding mountain road. The drive out was an adventure, but once you are there it is a great experience. The winemaker are very knowledgeable about the wines they make and willingly share information about any of the wineries in San Diego that you are interested in. They have some remarkable red wines, so worth the drive out there.

Located right next to the Myrtle Creek Botanical Gardens and Nursery. They are only open on weekends from noon to 5PM, but they are friendly and courteous and have some delicious wines. One of the most conveniently located wineries in Fallbrook as most are on remote winding roads.
