You must be fitt if you want to spend the day walking around because of the hills - there are great tracks to follow (if that's what you want) but you can also just sit down and enjoy the view. Great for the whole familiy too

This is the only round church outside of Bornholm (in Denmark) and its not a typical round church as seen on Bornholm. Here they have extented the church by building a normal church onto the round church. The view is great as the church lies on a hill

Faaborg's harbour is situated at the far end of the fjord, beautifully and tranquil, very charming to hang around and enjoy the fabulous sceneries. Really a sailors paradise. The surrounding area consist of kind old village, with ancient cottages and cobble stone streets. Very rustic and amusing. Little bars and restaurants to chat with locals if they speak English. Anyhow amusing, you feel yourself in another -friendly- world.

It should be a mandatory evening stroll in the small but historic town of Faaborg: The 15th century former church-, now bell-tower is the start and endpoint of the guided walks given by the historical city watch. Visiting the tower and participating in the walk at 9pm (July and August), is a must do. Fact!

We enjoyed the organ being played. great sound! There is a replica of a ship hanging above the benches, and the carpet in front of the altar is very nice too.

Faaborg has an attractive harbour area that already centuries go was associated with shipping, creating trade links all over the globe. It is a beautiful city with big manor houses thanks to the flourishing trades, and smaller still large town houses with nice Gardens. Further as contrast a walking area with old little dwellings near the harbour area. It has many old streets. A lovely place to visit, located at the stunning Funnen fjord.
