The Museum of Ceramics, which is operated by the Museum of Ceramics Foundation and the Ohio History Connection, houses an extensive collection of the wares produced in the city long known as "America's Crockery City" and "The Pottery Capital of the Nation." Enjoy a 12-minute movie about the Ohio valley pottery industry, then explore 2 floors of exhibits, including life-size dioramas of people working in the potteries. The museum houses the largest public collection of Lotus Ware porcelain. The museum building, formerly a post office, is on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum is closed during January, February, and most of March except for previously arranged tours.
This is a wonderful place! Well done exhibits and interesting local pottery history. A must for those interested in pottery collecting and history.

We took a little break from visiting family to explore Beaver Creek State Park and do a little hiking. Enjoyed hiking with the family and taking some nice pics as well. There is also a nice playground, places for horse trail rides, picnicking and some primitive camping.
