Sokol Blosser Winery

For 47 years – even before there was an Oregon wine industry – the Sokol Blosser family has been perfecting Pinot Noir. Since founders Susan Sokol Blosser and Bill Blosser planted their first vines in 1971, the family has pursued winemaking excellence through environmentally friendly techniques. Today, situated on a certified organic 85-acre property in the Dundee Hills appellation, and farming another 43 acres of vineyards in Dundee Hills and Eola-Amity Hills, B Corp-certified Sokol Blosser remains committed to a sustainable approach. This respect for nature has consistently captured the terroir of the region, showcasing its essence through the brilliance of its estate fruit.

Sokol Blosser was my favorite out of the wineries we visited in the Willamette Valley! I even joined their wine club!! Friendly and knowledgeable service & great Pinot's. The views are great. Make sure to take a walk around if you get a chance, it's got some great spots for pictures!!

The staff here is a little snooty. I like the wine. I’ve had it many times. The place is lovely. However, the staff was rude and inattentive. We are in the restaurant business so it’s sad when you get such flighty service at a place like this. I will continue to buy their wines but won’t recommend this place to anyone.

Stoller Family Estate

At Stoller, our roots run deep. The family established the property in 1943 and the vineyard fifty years later. Today, we are the largest contiguous vineyard in Oregon’s Dundee Hills, and our fruit is 100% estate grown. We control every step of the process, from pruning to bottling and everything in between. The result is award-winning wines that are balanced, complex, and consistently exceptional. Much has changed from the original farm, but one thing remains constant: our pioneering spirit. Our winery is the first in in the world to receive LEED Gold certification, attesting that our winery is sustainably built and environmentally friendly. We constantly seek new ways to refine and protect our legacy, so that it can thrive for generations to come. Awarded 2014 Northwest Winery of the Year by Wine Press Northwest, Oregon's Best Tasting Room by USA Today, and one of Oregon's Most Admired Companies by the Portland Business Journal.

My husband and I booked a private tasting here in August and thoroughly enjoyed the one-on-one tour with the young lady who took us around the property. We had plenty of time to ask questions, view the processing room and even get a glimpse of Mt. Hood off in the distance. We ended with a tasting of 6 wines, all delicious, and a formidable chacurterie board that more than served as our lunch. We purchased a half a case of these lovely wines to ship home and sat on the Adirondack chairs while watching a bunch of kids run around the fields. You could logistically bring the family here- lots of place to roam.

Erath's winery, on Wordon Hill Road, has a sweeping view of Mts. Hood and Jefferson to the east, beyond the agricultural patchwork of the Willamette Valley.

Enjoyed our visit here, immensely. Great staff and very knowledgeable about their products. Also, they were helpful with local sites to visit. There is about a half of a mile of gravel to get to the winery, but it is worth it. Excellent tasting choices and they are helpful in directing you to fit your palate. Would visit again.

Don't get me wrong -- the wines they make here are amazing. Just the selection for the tasting flight is not too "creative". For example, we started off with two Chardonnays, both 50% oak and 50% steel fermented which were not too different. We had a table outside, amazing views and atmosphere!

Archery Summit is stunningly beautiful. I found this location by searching multiple top ten lists in the Willamette Valley. Archery was in the top 10 on most every list I found. Once I saw the pictures, I added it to our visit list.

As we drove up to the winery tasting room, our instant impression was wow. This place is beautiful. The line of trees along the driveway are stately. The roses along the side walk to the majestic building are pretty. The rows and rows of grapevines on the hillside add to the pleasing atmosphere.

Here is where our experience went from beautiful to snooty. The tasting room is itty bitty. It only fits a few people. There are a few tables outside on the patio. The servers have an air of importance and "we're number one and we know it." They hand you two flight cards and tell you the sticker shock prices of the flights. The prices of their bottles are jaw dropping. If you want to sit in the pretty wine tasting room, then you have to pay even more to walk down the barrel cave to the upscale room that is nothing like the itty bitty one for everyone else.

We did not like the stuffiness, over-the-top, high priced feel of the place. We chose to give the flight cards back and not pay their prices. The place is visually pleasing, but I think it would be better suited to be in Napa Valley. I prefer laid back and reasonable pricing.

Our experience today was just one of great Joy!! We were on a mission of visiting this vineyard but totally amazed by the whole experience. Greated by Charles Hesson who beside making us feel like royalty was absolutely a gem. His descriptions of each wine we tasted was done in a way that those who were not as well versed could experience each tasting and for the connaisseur was right on. We also sat and enjoyed a delicious platter of cheeses and meats that was not only eye pleasing but scrumptious. Their Pinot (s) are all delicious.. Some will be on their way to the East Coast for us to enjoy soon.Thank you Alexana for having Charles there and I hope he will be part of your organization for many years to come. Many wineries located in Willamette recommend their visitors to stop by Alexana that says it all.

The Four Graces Winery

Reviewed By TravelingSuz - Phoenix, Arizona

We took a tour of the Oregon wine valley and our first stop was the Four Graces winery. While this winery does not have the sweeping views of other locations, the service was great, the pours were generous, the wine itself was very tasty and the courtyard was perfect to sit with friends and have a glass of wine. We learned quite a bit about the history of the area and the winery itself. Make this a stop - you won't be disappointed!
