Dover Little Theatre, established in 1933, is a charming, intimate, 100 seat theater that allows audiences one of the most memorable theatre experiences in New Jersey. We produce five mainstage productions per season, utilizing the talents of local actors, producers, directors, carpenters, lighting and set designers, costume designers, and many other volunteers.
The Dover Little Theater developed out of the vision of the Dover Women's Club in 1933. It's a small theater with about 100 seats. There is no assigned seating so getting there early assures you of better seating. Parking is on the street as well as a parking lot at the end of Elliot Street. Walking is required with a slight uphill grade. The performances are varied and include plays and musicals. Some of the more recent plays, Movie Masterworks (short snippets of famous movies) and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (an inventive tale of Hamlet told by the duo) are examples of some of the productions. Showings are over a number of days with some at 8pm and a few at 2pm. You can reserve tickets at 973-328-9202 or purchase them via SmartTix. Tickets cost $18 so you can have a nice night out at a reasonable price. The actors come from a wide range of experience and there is an audition process. Theater productions have been nominated for 5 NJACT Perry Awards. If you enjoy theater the Dover Theater is a nice community theater experience.

Phil the owner takes exceptional pride in the fruits and vegetables that he grows. He grows outstanding varieties of peaches, apples and nectarines. As one variety matures on the trees he'll pick it at the height of freshness and put it out for sale.
In addition his staff is outstanding, always polite, willing to help and very knowledgeable.
I don't believe there's a better place to find fresh fruits and vegetables in Morris County

Lake Hopatcong Cruises has one boat in the fleet - the beautiful Miss Lotta. Miss Lotta was brought to Lake Hopatcong and was completely refurbished during the winter of 2013-14. Thoughtful renovation brought Miss Lotta a much needed facelift in addition to state of the art improvements such as HD TVs in the main cabin, a sound system, stabilizing units, air conditioning, refurbished heads and a covered upper deck. Miss Lotta has a regular schedule of cruises throughout out the season. Cruise options range from yoga, brunch, dinner, cocktail, historical and a variety of seasonal cruises and special events such as Football cruises, Octoberfest and July 4th to name a few. Miss Lotta is also available for private events for groups not exceeding 40 people. Miss Lotta offers buffet style food and a full bar to customers. Catering is often supplied by LHC's sister company - Alice's restaurant - however we welcome private parties to bring their own caterer or choose from many other restaurants we have relationships with. Our staff is professionally trained and attentive.
The staff were extremely friendly. The tour around the lake was great. We went on the 1/2 way to St. Patrick's Day specialty tour, which was fun and festive.
One of our guests is a wheelchair-user and was able to board and access the lower level with no problem.
The bottom is enclosed so it was a comfortable temperature. The top level is open air, but the roof covering protected us from a short rain shower. We even saw a rainbow!
When we left the parking lot, an eagle flew overhead. All in all a lovely trip.

If you have even a slight interest in the Craftsman era of 100 years ago, you have to visit the Craftsman Farms, Gus Stickley's log cabin. Pete was our docent, he was very knowledgeable and super nice. Museum quality original Gus items, a highlight of our recent vacation!

A brand new museum was unveiled at Washington's Headquarters over Presidents Day Weekend. In addition to the Ford Mansion, just a few steps away, there is now a museum which has a film and War Gallery. along with another room containing artifacts, the new Discovery Center focuses on what life was like during the Revolution for people living in NJ. Exhibits cover musket firing, desertions, food scarcity, loyalty oaths, to name a few. Many of the exhibits are interactive, which appeal to kids and adults alike, there are costumes to try on and there is even an authentic door from an 18th century Morristown jail. Add a visit to Jockey Hollow (approximately 3 miles south), site of the winter encampment of 1779-1780, and you can experience the Revolutionary War as never before. Good for school-age children & adults and it's free.

Circle Bowl & Entertainment is one of the finest independently owned bowling and family entertainment centers in the country. We own and operate a modern, clean, family friendly bowling and entertainment center located in Ledgewood. Our mission is to provide a top quality bowling and entertainment experience so that our guests and their families will return again and again. We provide top notch bowling, quality activities such as rock climbing, laser tag, full arcade and events along with exceptional service and personal attention to our guests.
Rented the VIP room for my husband's birthday and it was the perfect venue for our group.
VIP room has 5 bowling lanes, a pool table, private bar, private bathrooms and big screen tv's. Plenty of space to move around and keep yourself entertained. It is quiet and away from the regular bowling area.
Jodi (event coordinator) was wonderful to work with. Frank our bartender was attentive and a super nice guy. When folks weren't ordering he doubled as a clean up crew. We ordered appetizers and pies from the catering menu. They were fine. Better than normal bowling food, but definitely not "high end".
On the opposite end of the building (not private) is a game room which was packed, but allowed our guests with kids to "win a prize".
I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for space to mix, mingle, do fun things and be treated well.

I challenge you to find a better diner! Born and raised in Brooklyn, diners were the best places to eat, especially after clubbing. I stopped eating in diners many years ago because, frankly, none of the ones I tried in New Jersey, where I've lived for many years now, were any good. Until a few months ago when my husband and I drove by a diner unlike no other. The restaurant is stunning both inside and out. It's not your average diner. The food is high-quality, the service is excellent, and the staff are very friendly and professional. We became regulars quickly. Dining at least three times per week.
Some of our family favorites so far are: the Rodeo Burger, the Knickerbocker Club Sandwich, the New Orleans Chicken Salad, the French Dip, the Sliced Steak on Garlic Bread, the Tuna Melt, the Chicken Salad Wrap, the Iron Man Omelette, the Matzo Ball Soup, and the French Onion Soup. Their fries are amazing, as well as their Cannoli, creamy Strawberry Cheesecake and Rice Pudding, which they often run out of because it's high in demand.
Have I eaten a meal here that I didn't care for? Sure. No one is perfect, but it's more hit than miss. There's a lot more on the menu I haven't tried and we're always salivating on our way there.
Food is always fresh, abundant, and beautifully presented. It's a must-try!!! You won't be disappointed.

Start with a blank canvas. Add your favorite wine, some of your best friends, and leave with your own masterpiece at the end of a fun-filled evening! Our talented instructors will teach you step-by-step as you paint in a relaxed, group setting. No experience necessary. Join us for a step-by-step painting class where you get to bring your favorite food and drinks! We can teach anyone to paint!
Went for a painting for Frozen with my daughter. Very nice area and instructors were good. Only problem was that it felt very rushed. My daughter is young and had trouble keeping up, so I ended up doing a lot of the actual painting. But the premise is a good one and I would not mind going back without my daughter.
