Even Decin is a nice small czech city, there are not too many things to visit here. The castle is one of them. A nice rose garden belongs to the castle, it's worth to visit it as well.

If you decide to go to this zoo be prepared that you will have to take baby carrier. The road in the zoo is not suitable for people on the wheelchairs and strollers. You can't buy anything there in the winter season. So take something with you. Specially when you have little kids. Visit was ok. You can visit as well the tropical Islands little zoo in the city. It is in the price of the ticket but you have to visit the same day which is bit difficult if you have young kids.

Ferrata in Decin offers wide range of routes (about 15 variations) with difficulties between A-D. The routes also widely differ between requirements for technical skill or physical strengh.
In summer 2015 we have been training there for our trip to Dachstein super ferrata. Our goal was to climb the Decin's ferrata 10 times to climb the same height as on Dachstein. It was over 30 degrees Celcius but we managed to survive both heat and the wall.
Decin's ferrata is truly for everyone - there are easy routes even for 10 yo children, middle routes for adults and very difficult routes for experienced climbers. The 'rope bridge' is a nice addition.
Ferrata offers beautiful sight into the Labe canyon and on the Decin Castle. You can easily spend whole day climbing just few routes. There is alot of people on the weekend but very few on the working days. Usual opening time is from April/May until October/November. It is closed 24 hours after rain.
