The Solano Drive In is part of the West Wind Drive-Ins. The atmosphere at West Wind is best described as relaxed family fun with a mix of old-school drive-in vibe combined with the latest technology. Toss a Frisbee around or bring the kids to our playground before you settle back for a one of a kind movie presentation.

We booked Code 3 for a San Francisco airport pickup and were completely satisfied with the service. This is a topnotch company in every way. Sasha in the office was delightful to work with, very knowledgeable about their services and vehicles and very helpful in understanding and discussing what we needed. Sean, our driver, was courteous, friendly, neat, and a great driver. He went out of his way to accommodate our requests and we would certainly ride with him again. And, of course, the vehicle was very neat and clean. We wouldn’t hesitate to use this company again.

Red Door Escape Room is a fully immersive entertainment experience where groups solve puzzles, hints, and clues to try and escape in 60 minutes!
When I woke up yesterday morning, I had no idea I was in for the time of my life. When I walked inside the golden doors of this god-given establishment, I was showered with kind-hearted words of welcome and swift recognition of my arrival. Needless to say, the staff here are beyond saints. In less than .2 seconds my Gamemaster Louis was briefing my group taking great care to give us every piece of information we would need on our journey, without lessening any of the fun for our group, in fact, his prestigious, elevated humor made our time even more superior. When we made it into the room, I was so dumbfounded by the design of this new, rich, lively, immersive, life-changing environment, I sat criss-cross applesauce and, drooling, stared mesmerized at my surroundings. I sat there for the entire hour we had until I realized the location was closing and I would’ve been trapped there lest I break free of my lucid trance. So no, I didn’t actually play any of the game, but my friends did praise the puzzles quite immensely. But I left this location with my faith in humanity restored, and at the end of the day, that’s all that matters.

It's a darn shame that Port Chicago Naval Magazine National Memorial is one of the five least-visited units in the entire 419-unit National Park System, officially logging fewer than 700 visitors in 2018. Yes, this historic site is situated on an active military installation with restricted access; yes, you do need to make a reservation and furnish some security info for everyone in your group (names, drivers license numbers); yes, you do need to report to the John Muir National Historic Site in Martinez at the scheduled time to meet your guide and get a briefing; yes, the van shuttle to and from the Port Chicago site is a bit of a bother (15 minutes or so each way); yes, you may have to wait a bit for somebody to come and open the gate; and yes, you may even find your tour cancelled without notice due to base security needs . But, wow, is it ever worth it! Port Chicago is the site of a catastrophic accident that occurred on July 17, 1944 when a fully loaded ammunition ship exploded and killed more than 300 people. The mutiny of African-American sailors that ensued (at Mare Island Naval Shipyard) is one of the more intriguing recially-charged events of World War II here in the mainland U.S. The information and photos the guide provides greatly enhances the worth of the visit. Personally, I found the tour of the adjacent revetment, where munitions were unloaded from railroad cars, the most interesting aspect of our Port Chicago visit.
