Commerce Township, officially the Charter Township of Commerce, is a charter township of Oakland County, and suburb of Detroit, located in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 40,186 at the 2010 census. The terrain is rolling hills with large expanses of flat farmland and suburban development. The Huron River runs mostly north-south through the township. Commerce was formerly a weekend and summer resort for Detroiters because of the area's small inland lakes and peaceful seclusion, but due to recent development the cottages are now all permanent homes. There has been a sharp increase in population in the last few years, mostly on or near the several lakes and golf courses. Much of Proud Lake State Recreation Area is within the township. The northern terminus of M-5 is in Commerce. The busy highway would have continued north to Interstate 75, but because of the area's high property value and the many lakes that dot the landscape such a project would have been far too costly.

I joined a 10 week fun league on Sunday afternoon. I travel 25 miles or more, but it worth it. The following Statement rulings for masks and social distance on the lines. The alley very clean, a sign of the female bathroom excellent. Beautiful inside and out. Staff very warm and welcoming.

Whether you are looking for something to combine with an outdoor event or to spend some time with the family in a quality place then ‘Chi-Town Union Station’ is a great place to go. The cost of admission is reasonable for children and adults. There is plenty of seating inside to view the trains and the wonderful model setup they have along with it. From big city Chicago to what appears to be a row of colorful beach or San Francisco houses to small time life at various points in American history it’s all there. Amazingly it is woven together so well that the change from one tableau to another is hardly noticeable. Older attendees can find a convenient seat. The aisles are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. The entry door takes a little navigation but it large and accessible as is the small reception area and exit. The parking lot is spacious. Keep in mind that this venue is cash only. There is a bank two doors down as I discovered (haha). The place is clean and neat as are rest rooms. There is memorabilia around the place which could, if one desired, fill an afternoon all by itself. There’s no running for kiddies, of course, but as they move around the modelers have made sure there is plenty of easy viewing for them and anyone in a wheelchair. It’s enjoyable family fun and a great place for a date too.
