Always beautiful. My wife and daughter and I always see some sort of wildlife, sometimes large water birds, sometimes birds of prey. We've seen about a half dozen species of reptile and amphibians.

We visited twice during our short trip to Saratoga Springs. My wife hates whiskey, but their whiskey was smooth enough that even she didn't feel like death (like she normally does from smelling or tasting whiskey). I had the Apple Crisp, Barrel Aged Old Fashioned, and the Smoked Rye Manhattan. All were very tasty. The Apple Crisp was maybe a little too sweet for me and I didn't think showed over the great bourbon they use/make. Their old fashioned though is spot on. They actually sell it in a small bottle "to go" for $40. I ended up buying two for myself (since I finished the first one during the first two nights of our trip) and one to take home to my dad. If you like Old Fashioneds, you will like this one. What the bartender told me is that they make it in large barrels (think he said 10 gallons) and then they put the mixture back into a bourbon barrel and let it age and meld together for 6 weeks. This helped all the flavors combine nicely and give it some more of the smoky flavor. My wife had a Cucumber Vodka Lemonade, which she thought was very refreshing, and a bloody mary, which they made very spicy (just how she likes it). I just finished my second bottle of the Old Fashioned this weekend, which makes me sad. Too bad they are so far away from me because I would love to have another one.

The band was great, staff was friendly and the man at the register was helpful to my friend who left her wallet in her car. There was no coat check person, so I left my jacket in the coat check room and it was untouched when I returned to get it. Great intimate venue to see bands up close and personal. Would recommend.
