5 of us did the 2 hour Cascade Canyon tour. Excellent trail ride, fabulous horses, beautiful scenery and a very hospitable host. We had varying degrees of riding experience and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We will definitely be back.

This is a well maintained woodland course with lots of variety and moderate hills. It’s walkable, but take a cart if you are not a long hitter, to maintain the pace of play. There are some interesting black sand bunkers, where coal sludge has been mixed with the sand. They have a fine texture that is easy to get out of. The pro shop is well stocked and the restaurant offers good midrange food at reasonable prices.

We have visited 3 summers now staying in a relatives holiday cabin and it is still adored by the whole family. A stunning location; the lake has clear waters, mountains and peaceful wilderness all around it. There are plenty of activities to enjoy over summer months - swimming, kayaking, speedboats, watersports, hiking, camp fires, and much more. A truely Canadian experience!

Had a great meal with the family today at the Dueling Oaks resteraunt at Cascade Par 3 golf course. They do have a limited menu due to covid. So nice to be able to sit and have a meal out. Its been so long. Check it out if you you're in the area. Had a great time!

Facilities: Public beach, day-use picnic area, flush toilets, change house. Location: Off Hwy 3, in the town of Christina Lake. Christina Lake has a reputation of being one of the warmest lakes in all of Canada and is very popular with families. With its 300 metres of fine sandy beach, people flock to this swimming destination in the summer months. There is no overnight camping at this location. The closest provincial park campground with overnight accommodation is Gladstone (Texas Creek campground), 10 km east of Christina Lake. Nearby provincial campgrounds that should be able to accommodate last-minute campers in July and August include Boundary Creek, Jewel Lake, and Nancy Greene.
Plenty of parking, short flat walk to beach. Shade near the grass and pinic tables. Plenty of sandy beach. Flush toilets and outhouses. This beach has a great view that makes for a beautiful photo opportunity.

Facilities: Texas Creek Campground - 63 campsites, showers, flush toilets, boat launch. Marine Sites - 8 rustic sites accessible by boat only. Location: 20 km northeast of Grand Forks on Highway 3 at the north end of Christina Lake. Located on the popular Christina Lake in the Monashee Mountains, Gladstone Provincial Park offers fantastic camping and boating opportunities. The park also has 48 kms of hiking trails as well as backcountry horseback trails. Day-use and picnicking can be found at the nearby Christina Lake Provincial Park day-use area. Firewood and ice are available for sale at the Host Site. Marine Sites are user maintained. This Park is 100% reservable and reservations are strongly recommended. Texas Creek campground is open from the first weekend in May through the third weekend in September.
The bathrooms and showers must have undergone a renovation in the past couple of years: every toilet facility has a flush toilet. The shower house is, dare I say, the best I’ve ever come across in public. Props to the park attendants and cleaners. Thoughtful too: they delivered ice and fire wood directly to the site.

I’m only reviewing the Welcome Centre because the coffee shop that’s inside, Pony Espresso, makes such great coffee and cakes. It was so good we went back for lunch! The Welcome Centre staff are alright too.
