The people in Vermont know their cheese, and those in Grafton excel at cheddar. The shop offers samples of most all of their cheeses, meats and condiments, so you can experiment and discover a new obsession. Their 6 year cheddar (which comes about usually by accident) is the sharpest cheddar I've ever tasted. It puts all other cheddar to shame. My mouth is watering right now as I think of it and write this review. Their smoked and garlic cheddar is also excellent. They also sell wine and bottled beverages.
NOTE: Cheddar cheese will keep for several days unrefrigerated, so buy some to take home. You'll be happy you did.

DaVallia is an art boutique with a vintage, modern country flair. Walk into our shop, or browse our collections online and you'll find fine handcrafted arts and crafts with character. Each piece has a story, an identity, and a spirit. Each piece is the unique result of a vision, brought to life by an artist's hand. Couple that special character with a function and you've got art for everyday living. DaVallia was established in 2009 by artists, Michael & Jessie Alon. Michael creates art furniture and sculpture from reclaimed wood, steel, and concrete. Jessie handcrafts artisan jewelry using sterling silver, terrazzo, and semi-precious stones. Together they hand-pick and curate the works form an additional 50 artist. DaVallia's collection emulates the quality of finer metropolitan galleries while still rejoicing in the inviting, warming Vermont charm. Located in historic Chester, Vermont.
This shop has a small selection of well selected, but not particularly unique items. It feels more like a gallery than a shop due to the small selection. Nice merchandising!

We are The Vermont Country Store, the Purveyors of the Practical and Hard-to-Find. Step back in time as you browse our aisles of long lost products that still work as well today as they did "back in the day!" From countless jars of penny candy to Vermont's finest selections of locally made cheese and meats, to problem-solvers for your household to toys for the littlest ones, you'll feel like you took a step back in time, and become a kid in a candy store when you walk through our doors! Check out our brand new Mildred's Market for sandwiches, soups, bakery items and much more great prepared food items. Come and visit our covered bridge and grist mill!
We only planned for a quick stop, but ended up shopping and eating lunch for a two hour visit. This huge store has so many things to look at! Many items are from the time of my youth and prior generations so it seems like a museum, but everything is for sale. Definitely worth the short drive off the interstate to visit.

Customer service is the best. The owners take a lot of pride in the theater and it shows. Popcorn is always fresh. Tbe nacho chips are plentiful. First run movies and marathons too. Want to to do some gaming on a really big screen, you can do that here too. The staff is always friendly and have smiles on their faces. Even has an attached ice cream shop. Now if you coukd just get hot dog to go with ice cold soda.

Stayed in Grafton in the summertime and this place has everything you might need for a relaxing summer day, a nice large pond with a diving/sunning floating platform and paddle boats, canoes, etc. It's also got lots of trails to hike, explore, or bike that are dog friendly. And they've got a frisbee golf course running alongside some of the trails that makes for a fun time for the young ones who might not be that into summertime nature hikes!

We stopped in at the Jud Harmann Gallery while in Grafton, VT and it was a highlight of our time in Vermont. His work is amazing; the sculptures' express such emotion, movement and realism that you have to touch them to believe its bronze. Even more impressive and interesting is talking with the artist! He has a passion for the history of the Eastern Native American and clearly loves sharing it with visitors. We could have spent the afternoon just chatting with him. The building where he exhibits is also a treat to see. Don't miss a visit if you are in Grafton!

This little schoolhouse is must see on your travels to Springfield. 1st and foremost it is a throwback to a simpler time when there was 1 room schoolhouses. Desks are still there along with books, pencils, maps, etc. There is also lots of information about the actual schoolhouse on the inside and out. The covered bridge and the grounds surrounding are beautiful to look at too. There is also travel information available too located on the property.
