Free. Very large and romantic. Quaint waterways interweave between clusters of gingko, maple, azalea, plum and pine trees. Pockets of marble and granite rock formations, bronze sculptures, pagoda pavilions. Small motored boats can also be hired. The paths are layered with stone and rocks and there are artistic surprises at almost every corner. Tianning tower is immediately adjacent to the park. Definitely worth meandering through slowly to take in all the sights. We were there in late Oct 2017.

The theme park was so-so. The set-up and design was fabulous but there were few rides. You have to walk past several streets of shopping to reach the park in the first place. Once inside, it felt like there were more shops and restaurants than rides. The souvenirs were nice, particularly the dinosaur tails. The flying chaser ride stank for some reason. The ride system itself is flawed. They start the ride at time intervals regardless of the line. I had to wait toward the beginning of a pretty full line for ten minutes because they weren't suppose to start the ride until 12:30. They also need a certain number of people in line to activate the ride. They make you wait for everyone to gather their belongings and line up at the exit before letting you go. The rides themselves were short. It was quite annoying to wait that long for a few seconds of amusement. The height restrictions are overly strict and those shorter than 1.2 m have to ride with a parent on most rides rather than ride with an older sibling. The older sibling always had to sit alone and waste the seat next to them. Overall, the ride system was incredibly inefficient. The shows were short but impressive. It took 20 rmb to take a picture with the animals in the show. The soundtrack playing on speakers around the park was repetitive. I heard the same Lindsey Stirling song at least five times.
The whole thing is worth it though, for the museum. It's far bigger than the one in New Haven by Yale and was easy to navigate. It takes you through rooms in order and makes it easy for you to make sure you see every exhibit. The exhibits were excellent and educational. The whole thing is built around a digging site which you can see in the last room. The only annoying thing was that the rule of no pictures was not really enforced and I am worried that all the flash (it was dark so flash was necessary and I saw it used often) will damage the fossils. Tourists need to be more careful around such precious treasures. We spent 1/3 of the time in the museum, 1/2 of the time walking, and 1/6 on shows/rides. If you go to Changzhou, the museum is a definite must-see.

Tianning Temple is one of the largest temples that I have been to in China. The views from the 11th floor offer a wonderful 360 degree view around Changzhou (assuming pollution levels allow).
You have the option to climb most of the way to the top floor or you can take an elevator. Most floors offer the chance to view displays within the Temple. The cost to go inside this area was RMB 20 and an additional RMB 60 to climb the Temple but the cost is minimal as the experience is worthwhile.
The grounds also offer many other temples and building to look through and this location was my favourite to see in Changzhou.
Next door is Hongmei Park and close by is Dongpo Park. Neither of these have any entrance fees so there is plenty to experience whilst in this part of Changzhou.

Lovely big park and ancient ruins. Separate entrance from the theme park only costs 15 or 20 rmb. Entrance is opposite side parallel to the theme park one. BBQ and fishing area here. You can buy everything for your BBQ and rent the equipment and fuel. Lovely for nature walk.

Whenever we visit my fiancees parents in Changzhou we go for after dinner walks in Dongpo Park. It is a lovely spot down by the river and decently lit at night. Nice a peaceful there are statues and landscaping to enjoy. During the day you can explore the old Acadamy and grounds too.

I went to this museum right after visiting the Yancheng ancient site. I really enjoyed learning more about the ancient city in the museum, the displays were really helpful in understanding what I'd seen.
I think overall this was a very nicely done museum. There were quite a few displays with English (though not all) and even if I couldn't read the placard, the artifacts were really cool!
The design of the museum is pretty impressive in and of itself. I was surprised that it was so fancy!

Beautiful Spa that is surprising not expensive, (Unless you need to purchase your bathing suits there). Get it from the town before you go, the bathing suit cost more than the entrance fee.
There are so many types of hot spring. Serene Music , beautiful surrounding. You can even have a massage after the spa. Do not go with kids, because you cannot be romatic with kids around. Do not go if you're in a hurry. The spa opens till 10 pm at night. You'll like a day when you can spend time with yourself and reflect on your life.....Summer would be too hot.

A different sort of Amusement park. If you like anime, this place is great. The 3D and 4D rides are alot and exciting. It is a place for visual and 3D experience. If you have kids that are not up to the safety high limit, there are more rides here. The rides here are more modern and thus more exciting. Bring along your own rain coat because they cost a bomb within the park. A whole day event , so do not plan anything else on the day. Everything is new, thus safe.
Only thing is that the location is quite out of the way. I drove and thus able to stay in a local hotel nearby.
We did a theme park tour, so the day before, we did the Dinosaur Land. On the day itself, we did the Cartoon Play Valley. The next day, we did the 3 Kingdoms theme park in Wuxi, which is not far away from Cartoon world. And the day after, we did the Happy Valley in Shanghai.
Beautiful route if you're a theme park lover.
Have fun.

Part of an organized tour we went on the Shuangguifang Gourmet Street.
In the middle of the street, we could participate in the making of some traditional snacks (Chinese noodles, different kinds of dumplings, ...).
We then had a dinner-conference on lots of diverse Changzhou specialities. Very nice all in all.
Would recommend it if you can have an organized tour with all these explanations.

Although limited in terms of fashion, the Shopping Center houses a Walmart, Tesco and hundreds of indie shops and food outlets. A great place at night with all of the lights and hustle and bustle
