I have been remiss in sharing our "sense"-stational experience at Soter's North Valley location. Having visited Soter's main location we were excited for our tasting.

Our host was Evita and she was amazing. She has a depth of knowledge and an undeniable style that was as refreshing as the setting and the wines.

The tasting rooms are in a log cabin style building that is well suited for a beautiful tasting experience.

My friends and I had the opportunity to take a hike through the Vineyards on a beautiful August day. Matt led us through the Vineyards with lots of great information.
Of course the hike was followed up by some samplings up some wine. We had great hosts and really nice varieties of wine to sip from!!

Cana's Feast Winery

We are a small winery of devoted individuals who care deeply about the quality of the wines we make and the genuine hospitality we offer. We’re just as honored by the place our bottle occupies on your table as we are by the occasion of your visit to our winery. We have a down-to-earth approach to what we do. Drinking wine should enhance your experience, and be more about enjoyment than social status. Whatever your occasion may be, we are committed to crafting wines that enhance the food, the friendship and the good-sense that led to an open bottle. If you decided to come for a visit, you’d find our Tuscan-inspired winery, located just north of historic downtown Carlton, Oregon. It looks out onto the pastoral charm of rolling hills and the coastal mountain range of the northern Willamette Valley… if you’re into beautiful views and that sort of thing

Discovered Cana's Feast wines while sampling the reds in a local PDX restaurant (MourvèdreI and since a number of other top PDX restaurants were also pouring their wine, had to travel to Carlton, OR to sample.

The wines are in classic Italian style, deep reds and vibrant whites, some from the Willamette Valley (Pinot) and a lot from Washington Columbia Valley (Mourvèdre, Barbera, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Rosato and Syrah). The wine prices are also very reasonable with a high quality.

We joined their wine club and started trekking down from PDX for their quarterly club release parties, which are catered by Wendy, a local chef and actually held in the cellar amongst the wine barrels. The staff is very helpful and the wine maker are always there to provide assistance and guidance and explain the wines.

In addition, they also hold a bi-monthly dinner that is paired with their various wines that is focused on the season and festivities. We enjoy our trips to their winery and enjoy sitting out in their patio drinking their wines and eating some of their snack offerings.

Being in Carlton, they are also close to other smaller wineries and the quaint downtown with its antique and jam and coffee shops and bakeries . . .

Remember, if during one of their bi-monthly wine dinners, if you purchase a case of wine, they comp you one dinner.

This is a great way to wine taste all the fabulous wines from Carlton. They just hosted an event that had 20 tastings from 5 cellars that were all AMAZING. Everything was very different and the feel was relaxed and enjoyable. You were able to meet the wine makers and sit and enjoy a glass of your favorite wine outdoors or inside.
If you are a wine club member of any of the wineries in that area, you got in free, which was a great perk!

Four of us were doing a wine tasting trip and visited the very cool Ken Wright tasting room in Carlton. They've taken over and renovated the original train depot and it's really nice. Gypsy Dancer wines

Reviewed By Sleddoggie - Port Saint Lucie, Florida

I came to this winery with fairly low expectations--I simply liked the name. But, Christine was an engaging and enthusiastic owner who made us feel right at home. We also met one of her winemakers Todd who (I believe) had done one of the Gypsy Dancer wines and he was also full of knowledge. The Gypsy Dancer wines were absolutely wonderful. We ended up buying some bottles to take home (wine skins work wonders on long flights) and joined the wine club. There was so much positive energy at this winery and it clearly flows into their delicious wines.
