Roobarb is a lifestyle store in the heart of the stunning market town of Bridgnorth, winners of the Great British High Street award 2016. Roobarb opened in 2014 and has won, and have been finalists in many UK wide retail awards. In 2017 and 2018 we won the British Independent Retail Association (BIRA) Team of the Year award. We have also won Bira's Charitable Champion award, for our work with African Street Children in Uganda and South Sudan. We sell a stunning range of handbags, ladies Italian styled clothes, hats, gloves, scarves, socks plus soft furnishings and homeware.
Loved this shop and spent ages browsing all the lovely things which are great quality at an affordable price. The lady in the shop was very friendly and helpful without being pushy. I purchased a lovely top and have had many compliments from friends. Really enjoyed this place and will return next time I’m in Bridgenorth.

A short trip to Bridgnorth Low Town on a heritage feature. The descent lasts only a couple of minutes, is good value return fare and our dog was free. The stop point is ideal for the Severn Valley Railway and river walks. We returned to High Town along the main road towards the Castle Gardens rather than the Funicular (only took a few minutes anyway). Worth a visit - young children would probably enjoy the experience. A little girl travelling in our 'car' was thrilled.

Visited the tea room as we were staying close by, Rosalie is a friendly welcoming lady and bakes all her produce, which is lovely we sampled many of her products and enjoyed all. Beautiful setting for cake and a possible visit to Daniel's Mill.

Set majestically in the centre of the High Street, the old Town Hall of Bridgnorth is impossible to miss and has to be the most photographed building in the town. Originally a barn in a nearby village, it was brought to the High Street and set on stilts so traffic could pass beneath. Whilst this was stopped many years ago, people continue to walk beneath its arches and markets are held there on Fridays and Saturdays. But this tourist attraction is worthy of more than just a quick look from the outside. Ascend the stairs and marvel at this living museum, still used by the local people for meetings and civic occasions. Enjoy coffee and a cake whilst sitting in one of the oak panelled rooms admiring the ancient stained glass window. Learn some of the history of the town from the information displayed on the walls or from the knowledgeable staff on hand. See where the Judge used to sit when passing sentence on those who broke the laws of the borough, occasionally resulting in a one way trip to the gallows when the building was used as a Court. Children can dress up in the costumes provided whilst adults view the interesting artefacts on display. No trip to Bridgnorth would be complete without a visit to the Town Hall.

Looking for a perfect vintage pub in Bridgnorth? Look no further. Set alongside the Severn Valley Railway, The Railwayman's Arms boasts all the charm of a vintage pub in an incredible setting. Watch a variety of heritage locomotives roll into the station whilst supping an incredible tipple with a variety of local real ales, spirits, ciders and much more
We visit here every week for a quick drink after a trip into Bridgnorth. It’s a fantastic pub, with great beers and cider. The staff are super friendly and very efficient. They have been following covid restrictions and I felt very safe!
