Beautiful grounds and buildings. Farmers market (limited dates) was very interesting with many types of foods to sample and buy. Outdoor market was primarily veggies. An alternate area was available to get information on the grounds and activities for the environment. Also had hiking and bicycle paths. Would be very nice to go spring or early fall. I think tours are available by reservation.

We love Bridgewater commons shopping Mall. We always stay near to there whilst visiting friends in New Jersey. It's somewhere we head to straight away, great selection of shops and good places to eat, inside and out.

We've only been once but had a ton of fun and will definitely be back. Staff was a little rude (acted super annoyed when we asked questions about pricing and how it all worked) but we didn't have to interact with them at all after that and had a really good time! They have so many games!!

Take a walk through the park any time of the year. We went in early March and enjoyed a brisk walk on the path. Midway, the park was quiet and peaceful. The scenery is an interesting break from the hustle bustle of the city.

The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCCArts), a community-based, non-profit performing arts center, presents a wide range of cultural programming by professional touring companies of regional, national and international stature. Top notch entertainment for reasonable prices. Can't beat the shows, but their new programs are really fun. Their Tuesdays with Stories programs are held at 12 and 7 and examine books and have a one-person interpreter who acts out some of the scenes...followed by a Q and A with the artist. At lunch there are small snacks with a $5.00 lunch available for preordering. In the evening there is wine and cheese between the presentation and the Q and A. Another fun program is their Club 28 which is a cozy, on-the-state cabaret style performance. The performer/s sit facing the audience, while the guests are on stage at small cabaret style tables for 4 and you are right up close and personal with the artist. For the 12 o'clock performance there are small snacks, but for the evening performance there is wine, soda, water, and cookies with snacks on the table. Each ticket entitles the bearer to 2 free alcohol drinks...wine or beer...and the soda, water, and cookies are on the house. Attendee all comment on how cozy and nice this experience is! It's great entertainment with a nice atmosphere.

I went to several times years ago, great place but then sold the house and did not leave a forwarding address. Very sad as it was a great place to go for a wonderful spa.

This 33 acre lush green public garden operated by the Somerset County Park Commission is awesome. It is a very nicely maintained space with well - watered expanses of lush green grass, bridges, ponds, little waterfalls, clean hiking paths, and tons and tons of flowers everywhere – from wildflowers to cultivated ones in planters and beds. We saw Azaleas, Magnolias, Rhododendrons, Dogwoods, Hydrangeas, Irises, Geraniums, and a variety of Wildflowers and Ferns all over the place. There were some healthy tall Beech Trees on the hiking path. There is even a Gazebo and lots of benches everywhere if you feel the need to rest.
Its premier Rock Garden is nationally known. Glaciers sculpted the Garden, and the Geologist Owner of the property Mr. Leonard J. Buck created the stunning garden around the natural landscape. After his death, his wife donated the garden to Somerset County. They have left behind such an idyllic place for families to explore, hike and be amazed as they all come to unwind.
A funny tidbit we read was that Mrs. Buck was tired of her husband spending an inordinate amount of time in creating his Rock Garden. She threatened to go to Reno to apply for a divorce if he spent any more time there. Stubbornly, he continued to clear the rocks, and, even named a large rock “Reno Rock”.
The place is vast and varied, and consists of many individual areas. It provides many opportunities for learning about flowers, trees, birds and habitats. The crooked trees and the hand-made Birdhouses add wonderful backdrops to the enigmatic scenery. Our favorite was the meandering body of water that was filled to the brim with gorgeous Water Lilies. It really was so surreal!
The Visitor Center was once a Carriage House. There are some very nice informative displays inside. The Heath and Heather Garden just outside is lovely. The lady inside was very pleasant and helpful and gave us a list of plants and flowers that was extremely helpful to us in the identification of several flowers, plants, bushes and trees.
Entrance is free, so why not go and spend some quality time with Nature? We absolutely recommend it.

It is a clean and easy to get to venue providing affordable fun from April-September during baseball season. Recently attended a party in the Party Deck section of the ballpark. Very private and comfortable with a great viewpoint of the field. Party was catered and food was plentiful and very good. Bartender was quick with bar service. Would definitely recommend this section for...MoreThank you for your review! We're happy to hear you had a great time! Attended the Darlene Love concert on Sunday, July 16, 2017. The weather was fine: no rain and not too hot. Easy to get seating. Crowd pleasant. Some pictures of Darlene Love attached.
