We are New Jersey's premier venue for all things Pirate. Our facilities, Pirate Ship, and crew are unmatched. Set Sail on the Sea Gypsy II for a Pirate Adventure your family will be talking about for years to come.
What a wonderful experience! We took our 5 and 2 year old girls, who had a blast! Arrive early so that you can enjoy the free kid tatoos and check out the area. The children are separated from the adults on the boat and engaged in an adventure then entire trip. The adults were able to sit back and relax for an hour, it was wonderful!! I would HIGHLY recommend taking the last trip for the day... so you can also enjoy the sunset :) And don't forget to wear your Pirate Gear!!

The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore's top stop for affordable, family entertainment. A Phillies affiliate, the BlueClaws play 70 home games across the summer at beautiful FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood. There are fireworks after every Friday and select Saturday home games. Thursdays are Thirsty Thursdays, with dollar beer and soda. Kids Eat Free every Sunday too!
Tyler, the group salesperson was a great help in planning our family event. We had 13 people - 9 adults and 4 kids. Tyler arranged for our name to be on the big screen when they welcomed groups. It made us feel very special! The park is clean, and the concessions are good. Lines weren't too long. The bouncy house area was a great activity for the little kids who couldn't sit through the whole game.

Jenkinson's Aquarium opened in 1991 and is a proud member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). This indoor facility is dedicated to educating the public on various aspects of marine life and conservation. From Atlantic Sharks to Coral Reef and Local Fish the Aquarium has a variety of marine individuals. There is a Rainforest area with parrots and monkeys and a Pine Barrens area with turtles, frogs and even owls. Touch tanks, Harbor seals and African Penguins are also included. Check out our Penguin Web Cam on the Aquarium website. You can come and go all day once you pay, so enjoy our exhibits then go out to the beach, rides, mini golf and return later in the day to see some animal feedings. Open year round.
We brought our 27 month old and 2 month old for a visit and had a great time. We arrived shortly after 9 am opening (in December ) and viewed all exhibits and even seal and penguin feedings -all without waning interest of such a short attention span of a 2 year old! Maybe next time our toddler will be old enough to enjoy the 'touch tank'! The employees are so informative, caring, and attentive to youngsters it will be a pleasure to come back. Beautiful tanks are full of curious inhabitants who closely greet visitors. We viewed snakes, monkeys, macaws, & salamanders as well.

we always come down for the day during the early and late months of the off season- mid Sept. cant be beat! it is mostly locals and most things are still open. Lots of arcades w/ photo booths, and games to win prizes. There are tons of great beach food options-Jersey shore pizza ( really cant be beat), funnel cake, beer, etc.. prices are a bit high, but that's to be expected. Crowds aren't too thick, but parking can be tough - if you are willing to walk a few blocks, you can find something. It's a quaint but lively area- good energy and a nice boardwalk for walking. It's busy as can be during the summer, but wonderfully peaceful during the offseason.

This was only my second time at the Strand Theater. I went to see my nieces dance recital. I was definitely worried about the parking situation especially it being Lakewood. I will say it was extremely easy and convenient. There is a lot directly across from the stage door as well as on the other side of the street where you can park for free. The theater itself is very old but extremely well-kept. It definitely provided a nice and unique atmosphere to see a dance recital other than going to a school auditorium. It was a good experience and I would be inclined to actually go see some more shows there.

This is a well maintained park with a walkway around the body of water. It is kept spotless, and a good place to exercise.

We met by crew of pirate ship who did face painting, then boarded the ship and set out for the adventure. The children enjoyed the festivities including finding hidden treasure, and firing water cannons to attack the enemy. After we returned to shore, an added treat was meeting Princess Ariel who sang, danced and posed for photos with the children. Cupcakes and beverages were also provided. Everyone did an excellent job. Can't wait to go again
