Bushue Family Farm is our favorite. We love the wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch and the kids really enjoy the pig train! They sell the most amazing homemade donuts, apple cider, and many more fall festive treats!! This year was different with having to make a reservation, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience! All the workers were friendly, the activities were organized, families were wearing masks, and hand sanitizer was on display if needed! Make your reservation today, you won’t be disappointed!!

We visited actually with four adult family members right after the re-opening from the Covid-19 closure. (Protocols were all in place) During two different visits in the same week we experienced a nice visit with both Cliff and Melissa. The museum has a lot of interesting evidence in both the gift shop and the actual museum. I especially enjoyed the video and audio exhibits and all of the casts. There were so many foot and hand casts from all over. The merchandise in the gift shop included something for everyone and is some of the best I've seen. Prices very reasonable as well.

Barton Park is awesome for families with children of all ages. We stayed throughout the week of the 4th of July where the entire campground was filled. It was fun and peaceful. Rangers/Sheriffs were on-site to ensure everyone were safe and enjoying their time throughout the entire park. Make sure that if you decide to go tubing/etc. down Clackamas River that wearing life jackets and having additional floating devices is a MUST. There are parts of the river that are deep, with rough strong currents and slick sharp rocks. We do not recommend children under the age of 10 floating by themselves. We were very thankful Sheriffs and Rangers were on-site to make sure people had life jackets on before getting on the river. The playground is right in the middle of the campground in a clearing where we were able to see and hear our kids play happily. The grounds and bathroom facilities are well kept and park rangers/campground hosts were all very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend camping here (whether in an RV and/or tent). It’s affordable with simple nature inspired amenities that relaxes the entire family.
