We camped in a 29' motor home. This State Park has full hookups. Windy roads on a mountain a little scary in a motorhome but beautiful. Nice restaurant in the lodge. Scenic overlooks, zip line, playground for kids and bike trails. Our only disappointment was that we could only kayak on a very small lake. Great camp host.

The tour is neat and interesting to see the exhibition mine, however the area look to be in disarray. The museum and area around the mine really showed it's age and lack of upkeep and maintenance. Restrooms had no paper or towels and water was all over the floors. The tour guides were very nice, but not very knowledgeable on specifics of the exhibition. If you had a queastion, they knew the basics they had been told but beyond that stated they just didn't know... with all that said it's cheap to get in (8 bucks I think and 6 for kids) and worth the stop to check it out, however if the county or private sponsorships would get behind them this could be a very nice tour.

This is a wonderful, quiet and peaceful area just out of Tazewell, VA. It is a sunken geologic bowl that is tucked away by itself. You have to go looking for it. Once over the rim of the mountain you descend into the bowl and see the lush fields and countryside. We loved the tranquility and cool breeze, even in late June. There is not much to do here but enjoy the solitude but we really liked it. Try the food at the general store and eat on the porch.

Had not planned on stopping but saw the brown sign on I-81. Brown usually means a national/federal site but this is not, and not free. Nice gift shop with a real variety of goods, including souvenirs for kids that won't break the bank. As the gal in the gift shop put it, this site gives one pause to consider - were these Indian peoples from the 1400-1500s "travelers or traders?" Some items discovered here are not indigenous to the area, so how did they get them? Were they nomadic or did they trade with others passing through?

I haven't been to the overlook in close to 20 years. The view was spectacular as always, but the added concession stand was a pleasant surprise. They had hot dogs and nachos with chips and candy available for purchase at a reasonable price. I only got bottled water. The restrooms were clean. The only disappointment was that the gate was locked and it prevented you from taking the path on up the mountain. The was a nice picnic shelter and several tables.

This field appears to be about 50-60 years old, having been used by the Baltimore Orioles for many years until 2010, when Toronto placed their team here. Parking is free, on the third base side of the field. Beer is only available for purchase in the "beer garden", but you can take it to your seat. No wine or other adult beverage. The concession stand offers the typical fare. Prices are good on entry, food and drink. Basically all seating has a great view. Likely seats about 1,500-2,000. The announcer was really boring compared to other parks.

Lotito City Park in Bluefield, West Virginia is transformed into a show case of holiday themes during its annual Holiday of Lights Festival. Tour the beautiful park ablaze with a stretch of 600,000 lights and wonderful scenes. Special weekend events include, a scenic evening walk through the park, music, a live nativity scene, and more will highlight the season.
Our hotel referred us to this city-owned park for our morning walk. The trails are well marked and range from easy to medium challenge. Woodland scenery makes you forget the medical complex which adjoins and provides plenty of solitude. There are picnic tables, toilets, parking, playground and a pool.

The Landmark Antique Mall is 20,000 square feet with over 20,000 square feet. They offer a great selection of everything from glassware, toys, clocks, furniture, collectibles and much more. I found it very easy to get around and the booths were well organized.
But, then you got to the lower floor. Here things completely changed. Parts of the lower floor was okay but most of it was cluttered, jumbled, dusty and contained items you would expect at a yard sale or flea market. It's still worth checking out if you are
