Although the name suggests otherwise, the Blue Mountains is an actual town in Grey County that consists of several small communities including Thornbury, Christie Beach, Clarksburg, Heathcote and Ravenna. The area is very picturesque and scenic in the summer months and during "apple season" in the autumn, but the town is most famous for its mountains. Tourists flock to Intrawest's Blue Mountain Ski Resort year-round for its wide array of offerings. If you aren't in the mood for skiing or snowboarding, take a stroll through Blue Mountain Village and enjoy a coffee at one of the cafes or a meal in one of the many restaurants located in the village.

Found some really good deals and some beautiful well priced Antiques. It took a couple hours to walk entire market, especially if you go into each room and look in all the corners. Some gems that I found I hunted for, but am so pleased I did. The proximity to Downtown Thornbury and restaurants was within 2 km.

Melissa at Axed was very accommodating to our last minute mid-morning booking for our family of four. Our 17 year old daughter was the lead in choosing this 'cool' event, to compensate for a rained out ski day. And, crazy but true - with no age restrictions, our 4.5 year old boy was able to be part of the fun! Instruction on safety and technique was very effective. Melissa was awesome with all ages, very personable and energetic. We'd go again just for the competition...now that we know how to get the bullseye!

The Blue Mountain Village is located in the Town of the Blue Mountains, nestled between the charming communities of Collingwood and Thornbury, at the foot of Ontario's largest mountain resort, Blue Mountain. The Village offers a vibrant social and cultural scene combining unique attractions, dining and shopping experiences. There is ALWAYS something to do at BLUE including five hotels, 25 retailers, 25 cafes & restaurants, year round award winning Festivals and Events plus Activity Central to book your hiking, biking, caving, climbing, spa, and more!
We are a family of 4 with children aged 7 and 9. We stayed a few nights at Blue Mountain and had a wonderful time. There’s so much to do; the Ridge Runner, mini putt, obstacle courses, play areas, gondola rides, movies in the square, shopping, or just sitting at the dock enjoying the outstanding views of the mill pond. We even enjoyed taking the shuttle to the private beach where we had a relaxing time swimming and kayaking. We were all able to walk far into the lake, because it’s a good distance before it starts getting too deep for the kids. Overall, we had a wonderful time making lasting memories with our kiddies.

This is one of the most unique stores I have ever visited. From their delicious home made fudge to their fantastic selection of giftware with prices from $2.00 to hundreds of dollars they have it all. The staff are always beyond friendly and helpful. Every time I have family visiting I make The Old Stanton store a must do activity.

I'm not fond of coasters, but this was awesome. My husband and I visited as part of a weekend getaway. Staff were friendly, and one even took a picture of us before the ride started. The ride takes you up the mountain, and upon reaching the top you send yourself off. You can control how fast or slow you go, which put me at ease...by the end I was going full speed and enjoyed every moment. The view from the coaster was amazing. We're planning to return every season that its open for different views.

We invite you to discover the beauty of our vineyards and taste distinct cool climate wines made from the grapes grown on the vines overlooking Georgian Bay. At the winery tasting room you may choose to taste any four wines available at the tasting bar. Spoil yourselves with a Wine & Cheese Tray, starting with a welcome bubbly followed by a sampling of three wines paired with three artisan cheeses. Open year round Wednesday to Sunday 12 – 5pm.
Pleasant surprise in the Blue Mountains. The wine was very good and the tasting was a fun experience. This is worth a visit.

A museum, housed in a former railway station built in the 1870s, that traces local history from the very distant to the much more recent past. It is also a branch of the The Blue Mountains Public Library. Along with museum and library services, the Craigleith Heritage Depot offers an archival research center. Visit often to see its changing exhibitions and check out @CraigleithDepot for online programs.
