We found a jewel in Mineral City. Big Stone Gap, once called Mineral City for the rich deposits of coal and ore has a treasure sitting right out in the open. The SWVA Museum is a treasure to behold and a treasure trove of historical artifacts and information. The rangers and ladies who work there are super nice and knowledgeable. We went to take pictures of the decorated Christmas trees for our local community paper. We stayed and went back for the charm and times gone by architecture of the house and the hospitality of the people working there. We discovered a real treasure. Kellean and Michael Gale Willis, VA.
