Adoramos!

Recomendo o passeio.

We've been to Larentis to taste their wine and have the experience of a picnic under the vines. Not amazing nor bad experience but be prepared, because, although they provide you pillows and a big picnic cloth, the floor is always irrigated so it is...MoreA família Larentis agradece a sua avaliação!

Do not expect fancy facilities nor wine-making guided tours among vineyards. Angheben Vinhos Finos has a modest warehouse-like building with a small retail counter where Mr. Idalêncio Angheben and his family welcome visitors for the winery presentation and tasting sessions.
We were delighed on the stories and explanations given by Mr. Idalêncio himself, including the Italian origin of his family name (actually from Tirol region, close to the Austrian border) and the reasons they had decided to explore grapevines not usually found in Brazil such as Barbera and Touriga Nacional. We felt we could stay for hours chatting on history and wine !
A must when visiting wineries in Bento Gonçaves area.

Family based vineyard and winery in Vale dos Vinhedos, first Geographical Indication area in Brasil. The estate holds 2 vineyards with 45 hectares, 26 in Vale dos Vinhedos, Bento Gonçalves, RS and 19 in Dr Fausto, Dois Lajeados, RS. The wines made with Vale dos Vinhedos vineyard grapes are sold under PIZZATO brand, and the ones from Dr Fausto are sold under FAUSTO brand.
The best thing about this winery is that they're passionated about making wine. They're a small productor and small property and the tour is not touristic organized - so, you come in, meet the owners and go with them to visit the installations and plantation. The tasting is very good, with different options and they have really good wines, such as the Concentus, their assemblage.
Worth visiting for knowing how a small winery works, to feel their passion about wine and also to drink and buy their wine for good prices. You can spend an afternoon there only talking about...wine! Near there, also in Monte Belo county, you may visit some good italian cantinas and also a grape juice and jelly manufacturer, the Famiglia Tasca.

A pioneer in the introduction of Wine tourism to Vale dos Vinhedos, Casa Valduga started the Wine tourism complex in 1992, enabling tourists to explore the world of wine and all the customs associated with the culture of the first Italian immigrants to the region. In addition to the rich natural wonders and a dimly-lit visit to the underground wine cellars, a fascinating dining experience awaits visitors at the Maria Valduga restaurant, which features typical dished blended with the most emblematic wines of Brazil. In an inspiring atmosphere, Casa Valduga welcomes its visitors with an amazing landscape, framed by the centuries old vineyards of one of the most award-winning wineries of Brazil.
My wife and I visited Casa Valduga for the wine tasting course - it's necessary to book it in advance (online).
The course starts early in the morning with a 2-2:30h visit to the winery, which is really nice.
In total, we tasted 8 wines of excellent quality and with different bodies and characteristics, in a nice Crescendo of flavors. First the whites, then the reds and finally the sparklings.
Casa Valduga is a top winery in Brazil, known for their sparkling wines, made according to the "champenoise" method, i.e., according to the French method from Champagne region. But they also have excellent vibrant reds, both oak aged and young wines, made out of Cabernet and Merlot.
Obviously, like an adult Disney attraction, the course ends with a visit to their store - prices are 20/30% lower than in final markets (I bought 4 bottles: 2 reds and 2 sparklings)...
Hope you enjoy!
