Bancroft Mill Engine Museum was established in 1980 to preserve one of the last working steam mill engines in the area. This magnificent 600HP engine, with its two cylinders and 16 foot flywheel originally drove 1,250 weaving looms. Open (free) most Saturdays from 11-3pm. The engine is run steam between 1pm and 3.45pm on many Sundays from mid March through to mid November. See website for dates. We also have a smaller engine of about 250HP rescued from a mill near Skipton and restored to steam operation after a ten year restoration. Bancroft Mill Engine Museum is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation No.1181038

Brilliant little children’s indoor play area! Plenty of interesting slides, climbs and ball pits. Ultra clean, great loos and everything homemade in the cafe. It’s been designed so you can see right through it so your kids don’t lose each other and you can see them whilst having a cuppa. Great menu for parents as well as kids. Well done whoever started this enterprise! My grandchildren age 5 and 2.5 loved it!

We are buying The Greyhound pub!, The Greyhound will be a family run establishment and everyone is welcome. We are going to undergo an extension and a major facelift to the internal building.
