Slateford Creek Falls

We traveled from central new jersey to this place with family and kids and I must say its a good place to visit. It looks like there are multiple trails and the one we went to was to see the waterfalls. Here is how you navigate 1) I would recommend going early. We were there by 10:00 AM and hardly there were 2 cars parked. By the time we returned which as about noontime, the parking lot was full. 2) As soon as you enter the park, you will see a parking lot with limited spaces towards your right side. Park your car. 3) Keep walking out of the parking lot and take right and keep walking until you see a dead-end which reads "RESIDENCE" 4) The road then turns left and continues to follow the path. 5) Within a few minutes you will pass a residence on your right. 6) After crossing the residence, on your left you will a gravel mini parking area which leads to the trail. 7) Follow the trail to the waterfalls and enjoy the short hike. 8) The trail continues along the creek and we went further a bit. 9) Our kids really enjoyed this short walk.

I had seen pictures and decided to piggy back a stop here when visiting the outlets in Tannersville. I am so happy that I did. This place is lovely, contemplative, soothing. I usually hike to waterfalls and vistas, and photograph flowers, so to focus on the beauty in the rock formations was a new experience and one that I found delightful. I agree with others to wear good shoes. ☘️????????‍♀️

From the first time I visited this amazing vineyard I have been more than satisfied every time. It's a beautifully situated vineyard on the rolling hills of Mt Bethel PA. You can easily view the impressive vines from the main road. The short ride down the dirt driveway makes you feel like you are entering the actual vineyard. The building is nesttled right in the middle of the field of vines behind it. Once inside, the tasting room is very cozy and intimate. The fire place sets the environment, but the true personality of the tasting room comes directly from the Server, winemaker and owner Mohinder. He and his wife truly offer a great wine tasting experience. They invite you in and you are immediately welcomed, no matter how busy it is. We are invited to the bar and quickly offered a tasting menu. Before I ever had my first taste of the wine, I realized how passionate this couple was about wine. I was greatly impressed how well everything was described. Each wine had its own story. Unlike many other local tasting rooms, they didn't just pour wine and wait for us to finish tasting. Mohinder waits for your response to the wines. The first wine in the tasting Menu. The Chardonnay (Nilofer) has an amazing nose, nice and dry with a smooth buttery finish that I feel has gotten even better with age since our first visit. The rosé has a beautiful aroma that makes you want to keep you going back for more. While light in color, less than usual rosé it is still among the best. The Cab Franc has, in my opinion one of the best overall flavors for a PA cab franc. The reserve Cab Franc is even more delicious. The Pinot Noir, while very light in color and medium bodied. It offers a very earthy aroma and smooth mouth feel that highlights the soil minerality the region has to offer. The real winner of the wines they have to offer, The Chambourcin (Shukriya) 2016, an absolute masterpiece. This grape thrives in this region of PA, and M&M has perfected it. When I first tasted it in December of 2017 it was ok. I bought a bottle anyway. It sat on my shelf for about six months. If I could have predicted what amazing transformation this wine was going to experience I would have left with a case. While entertaining several guests i decided to open this bottle after enjoying a few high end California Wines. When I poured this bottle for my guests I looked like a hero. This wine became one in its own. I feel no other local Chambourcins (including NY wines) come close. These young vines produce such an impressive grape, I cannot wait to see what the next few years will produce at M&M. This establishment is not over run by Limos and Party buses. It truly offers up a great wine tasting experience for those that actually enjoy wine tasting. Furthermore they offer monthly Indian Food lunches and dinners. They keep the guest list under 30 to keep it enjoyable for everyone. I will surely return many more times.
