Angleton lies at the intersection of State Highway 288, State Highway 35, and the Union Pacific Railroad. The population was 18,862 at the 2010 census. Angleton is in the 14th congressional district, and is represented by Republican Congressman Randy Weber.

We opted to go on the guided tour of the large animals and it was well worth it! Really enjoyed seing them feed the animals and the tour guides were very informative! Our Grandson really enjoyed holding the baby alligators and snake! Lot of fun for all ages!

Small museum but lots to see and huge statue! Even bigger than the Sam Houston statue! Stop by and talk to Park Ranger James Glover as he is a wealth of knowlede about the Father of Texas and Brazoria County! This museum is home to one of (if not only) the only working looms and he was working on a piece while we were there! If you love history, catch and release fishing, picnics, and Texas, stop by - it's free! Donations are appreciated as they have great plans for this little museum! There is ample parking and the grounds are very clean. Would recommend for kids too, plenty of space outside to run and play. A gem in Brazoria County. Follow their facebook page for upcoming events, James wears many hats as the sites marketer ;)
