OK, we are talking about picking your own apples, in season fresh fruits and vegetables, safe-close-up honey bee production, delicious fresh baked rolls and cookies and on and on. Great experience for the kids to see how many fruits and vegetables are grown.

We stopped here when we were in the Portsmouth area. The wines were excellent. During our tasting, the owners came up and said they were pressing grapes and asked if we wanted to watch. We were able to watch the pressing and get a wonderful explanation of what happens. The grounds were beautiful and scenic. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely a great stop.

Great clean friendly campground. Very large and open ( little privacy). Clean toilets. All sites have electric and water. No sewers but revamped and enlarged dump station. This camping area is all about the beach. Clean sandy oven beach one side, clean sandy river side beach on another. Alcohol not allowed. All sites have fire pit and stand up Bbq.

Whether you come in mid-summer with huge crowds or in the spring or fall, you will never bee disappointed. The state keeps this well maintained and safe for families.
The water is cold even in mid-August, but who cares? Enjoy the sun, the freee concerts and the nearby food options.

A welcome recreation area that allows dogs to be walked and provide "Mutt Mitts" to scoop up tell tale evidence of "doggie" presence or is that presents? The Mill Pond is a stream fed pond on the western flank of the park. Trails for walking over to "Pipe Stave Hill" branch off of the pond area and the central parking area. Some elevation to stride up and around but your canine pal(s) will enjoy the exercise. Dawn to dusk access. Early morning walkers can see the mist over the pond or fields as summer ambulates into Fall.

The Farm at Eastman’s Corner is a community-governed farm store committed to offering fresh local produce, meats, eggs, dairy, baked goods, and delicious grab & go meals. We give back to our community by supporting local farmers, hosting events, and donating five cents of every dollar and all profits to Sawyer Park.
EXCELLENT cookies (especially the toffee), good pastries, wonderful flavored milk and terrific staff all in a comfortable, beautiful setting make this a must-stop. Bonus: The store was created to fund the community's needs, so it's also a good cause!Thank you for your kind words, Kate! We take great pride in our community efforts (and tasty baked goods!) Look forward to seeing you at the farm again soon.

I took my pup down to this park this morning to check out the views along the Merrimack River. I'd read several reviews about how nice and well kept the trails were, and we weren't disappointed. The trails were in great shape all through the park, and there were some nice views of the river.
My only thing I can ask for is a few more trail signs inside the park. The major trail junctions were pretty well marked, but when we got digging into some of the smaller trails, we got turned around quickly. I couldn't complain too much, as it was a nice morning to be outside. It's a great park that feels miles away from the hustle and bustle of the towns and interstate around it.

A NATIONAL LANDMARK & WORKING MUSEUM. Dedicated to preserving and perpetuating the art and craft of wooden boat building. We offer classes, exhibits, tours, repairs, boat building and more.Established in 1793, Lowell's Boat Shop is the oldest continuously operating boat shop in the United States and is cited as the birthplace of the legendary fishing dory. Lowell’s is the only remaining survivor of the area’s world-renowned dory manufacturing industry that produced in excess of a quarter of a million dories over a period of two centuries. Building more than 2000 boats in 1911, this business was one of the first in the Nation to employ a seminal form of assembly line manufacturing. With the founding of his company, Simeon Lowell made radical innovations to traditional boat design. Known for their efficiency, durability and sea worthiness, Lowell dories became the heart and soul of the Gloucester fishing fleet. In the waning days of the great fishing industry, recreational boaters turned to Lowell dories for the same qualities that attracted the fishermen. Rowing clubs, hunting camps, the Boy and Girl Scouts and the Lifesaving Service all sought Lowell dories and skiffs for their maritime experiences.Conveyed through seven generations of the Lowell family, Lowell’s Boat Shop was passed to the Odell family in the 1980’s and then to the Newburyport Maritime Society in the 1990’s. In 2006, Lowell’s was purchased by Lowell’s Maritime Foundation, an independent non-profit group with the mission of leading this National Landmark and Working Museum through its third century of wooden boat building. We urge you to Experience the Lowell Tradition by being a part of the continuing history of America’s oldest working boat shop.
This boat shop has a long significance in our family as they resided on the Merrimack River for years. The boat shop is a real working shop that has been there since ???1700's or so ? They make incredible wooden dinghy's . Its worth the trip to just be on the river and look on a waterway that provided access for water vessels of days gone by to go out and explore the vast beyond.

Come visit historic Towle Farm, home of Smuttynose Brewing Company, one of New England's oldest and most beloved craft breweries. Take a free tour of our brewery, enjoy a guided tasting (for a small fee) and shop for favorite and hard-to-find Smuttynose and Smuttlabs beers, as well as other goodies in our retail store. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious meal at Hayseed, the Smuttynose public house located on the same grounds, featuring over two dozen beers, a farm-to-table menu and a seasonal beer garden and fire pit. And if you have time, play a round of disc golf while exploring our 17-acre site. The course is free and loaner discs are available in our retail shop.
Outdoor venue, coordinated by Leslie, who did a fantastic job converting my daughter's "vision" into a reality. Smuttynose provided a large, durable tent, portable dance floor, in a lovely outdoor setting on the brewery grounds. We were impressed by how well everything was organized, and by the friendliness of the entire staff. This was Smuttynose's first attempt, I understand, at an outdoor wedding event, which caused me some initial concern, but they came through with flying colors and I highly recommend them.
