During the Holidays we thought it would be great to get together and share the experience of the Urban Escape Games. As I had been previously, others have not and we had such a blast! Everyone who had not been before were blown away at how well thought out everything was and it took everyone working together to get the prize, Out of the Room! We stumbled upon this & stopped in for a drink & were happy to find an extensive variety of drafts & sparkling water for those of us that don’t like beer. Georgia sadly does not allow breweries to serve other alcohol like most states:( A window to order food from Smokejack BBQ was a nice option. Good TVs for football. Tip: Parking garage across the way in the shops or a fair amount of shopfront or street parking available!

Located in historic downtown Alpharetta this record store stocks both new & used albums. Offering a variety of genres ranging from jazz, rock, funk, soul, blues, electronic, etc. Used records are in great condition at fair prices plus brand-new reissues of rare albums and new releases. Featuring the largest audiophile selection in the Southeast with records at both 45 RPMs and 33 1/3 RPMs.
There's something for everyone in this gem of a store. Personally I love the audiophile section but on any given visit am just as likely to pick up a used disc.

The Velvet Note is a really cool place to experience some live up close and personal jazz music in an intimate setting (less than about 50 seats) where you are no more than 2 - 25 ft from the performers. You can even talk with the performers after the shows. Different acts weekly and sometimes nightly. You can get something to drink and eat while you enjoy the show. Conveniently located on Old Milton in Alpharetta area. You will need to check them out online (thevelvetnote.com) to see who is playing and make reservations in advance.
