Drive into the banks. Take a boat. The boatman will show the spot where Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati meet. Take a dip and rid yourself of sins. Early mornings or late evenings are preferred. SUVs are better than small cars.

Anand Bhavan has always been a source of curiosity to me, ever since I read Nehru's Discovery of India and his Letters to Daughter. It has its own place in the independence movement of the country. So visited it with reverence and excitement. It is maintained quite well, tells some stories of the bygone era. Location of Planetarium within the campus made our visit doubly useful. It also reflected the scientific temper of Nehru. To see the places in this building which changed the destiny of country was hair-raising experience.

Company garden is located in the heart of the city and is situated behind the Allahabad Museum. The Company Gardens in Allahabad in India is the largest Gardens in the city. The park bears a huge effigy of George V and Victoria installed at the centre of the park. The park stood as the ceremonial ground for the official ceremonies of the British Raj which was evidently followed by the musical Performances of the Police Band. The park is famous for Indian Freedom Struggle as it stood the witness to the famous encounter of bullets between the British police and the brave heart of Indian freedom struggle, Chandra Shekhar Azad .Other than the rich history the park the tourists also get attracted with the beauty of the park accentuated by the greenery and the exclusive atmosphere. A visit to the Company Gardens, Allahabad is a must while on a tour to Allahabad.

A jungle almost. Famous guava trees around widely. Shade available at daytime due to trees so good for a stroll or say trek. I liked to trek in solitude inside the garden with my father. We were both tired that day. It has a beautiful nursery, lotus pond.

All Saints Cathedral is commonly called Pattar Girija. It is situated in Allahabad. The ambience of the church is very serene and relaxing; hence one can be assured of immense internal peace and a sense of deep calmness once they are inside the temple. The fact that the church is located right in the middle of the Allahabad city makes it easy for you to cover other tourist places that are in the vicinity of the church.

It is the oxygen belt for the crowded city, situated right in the middle of the dense population. It contains several historic bulidings such as Public Library, Allahabad Mesusem, Chandrashekhar Azad memorial , Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium etc. Now it has been completely renovated on a very modern outlook, with lots of jogging track. Its a must visit place.

According to Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya s stotram, "Prayage Madhaveswari", this is one of the 18 shakti peetas ,, it is locally known as Alopi Devi temple. Alopi means the one disappeaed. Strangely here no idol is present but in the centre a square with water hole is seen over which a wooden cradle decorated with silk and zari clothes red in color is worshipped. They say last part of Sathi devi s body parts fell here. Tuesdays are crowded and Navarathri festival draws thousands of devotees.
Last time when we visited Prayage ,we could not find this place. Instead we visited !Lalitha devi temple. This time we kept on enquiring till we find this temple.
