Alcobendas (Spanish pronunciation: [alkoˈβenðas]) is a city located in the Community of Madrid, central Spain. It is located roughly 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of Madrid and 7 kilometres (4 mi) from Barajas International Airport. It includes a central urban zone, a recently built district known as Valdelasfuentes, La Moraleja and El Soto de la Moraleja residential zones, the Valdelatas nature reserve and a light industrial estate. A huge business park called Valdelacasa for high-tech firms is being built. It is the location of a basketball museum organised by the Pedro Ferrándiz Foundation where the FIBA Hall of Fame is located.

We stumbled on this mall while overnighting in Madrid on the way to El Puerto. We needed electric converters and Spanish enabled chips for our phones. We were able to find both at reasonable prices at Vodaphone and a connecting supermarket. Parking was difficult, but...MoreThank you for your visit!

This place is fantastic. I don't understand why it doesn't appear in Madrid guidebooks - a Spanish friend of ours with kids told us about this place. It is on the outskirts of Madrid - underground station nearby and free parking available.
Free to get in, and workshops and Planetarium only cost 3 euros (but obviously you don't have to do these). I would disagree with a previous review saying you need to speak Spanish to understand - signs available in English and Spanish and lots of the things ie hands on science for kids don't need a sign to explain it - you can easily explain the science behind it to your kids. My daughter was the only one at the science workshop so the explainer/ teacher did the session in English and she loved it (she's 5).
Bring a packed lunch as there's not much in the way of food nearby, that was obvious to me. It became really quiet in the afternoon after the school groups had gone - so would recommend going in the afternoon rather than the morning if you want a quiet time.
Highly recommended. Thank you.

Fun and learning for all the family - from 4 to 80. What's mo cheap to get into. A huge range of scientific exhibits, hand-on experiments and machinery that makes for several hours of guaranteed fun and discovery. Popular with local schools and for birthday parties too, for good reason. But due to close, or be reinvented, this winter; so go soon!

The Museum houses one of the best bonsai collections found outside of Japan due to their high quality and the diversity of specimens. The Museum has a shop, nursery, workshop and lecture room.
If you have an interest in bonsai or nature in general, I highly recommend you visit this place. The bonsai on display are some of Europe's best, with many imported from Japan, while also showcasing native species. The bonsai are very well maintained and the architecture of the garden is a mixture of modern and japanese styles. The museum is carefully tucked away within the Jardín de la Vega on Avenida Olímpica, beside a rectangular pond. The surrounding Gardens and Japanese pagoda close by, are also worth taking a look at.

Magical show room. Live shows every weekend for all types of audiences, three different. Magical School for children, young people, adults from zero level, up to several levels. Magical parties of all kinds, particular or company, with or without food, etc.

The tour around here is fantastic, its self guided and takes you to all the good parts of the stadium including the dressing room. Takes a couple of hours to do properly, well worth it!

Had a wonderful wedding here in 2012. The people helping were lovely and the venue is perfect. The priests were helpful and learning sessions well planned. The Amura hotel nearby is also a great place for a reception.

Planet Reball is a paintball indoor center, you'll play without paint (we use rubber soft balls), without caring about the weather and with INFINITE BALLS.
