Founded in 2004, the Historic Carousel and Museum is creating a world class carousel complex in downtown Albany that will draw visitors from around the world and contribute to the economic revitalization of historic downtown Albany. Our permanent home is completed. We opened our doors to our wonderful carousel on August 15th, 2017. Visit us and you can watch our carvers and painters at work, and enjoy browsing our gift shop. Our facility offers rooms for birthday and party rentals. Fully handicap accessible. Call us today to schedule a tour. Carousel rides are $2.00 a ride. Tours and admission is free.
Not just a carousel, a small museum, a very nice gift shop and an amazing basement workshop where they carve the animals. Its all done with volunteer help. You can visit the basement for free and talk with the workers there. We had a wonderful time there.

The Pix is my prefered place to watch movies. The owners are so nice. The consessions are reasonably priced as are the movie tickets. The seats are comfortable and I love that you get served your beer or wine in a glass. It is just a wonderful experience all around. I always recommend The Pix to people and I wait to see movies there.

I live in Corvallis but fortunately I have family walking distance to No Rails. This is the type of place that is right up my alley. Relaxed atmosphere a plethora of beers and ciders and popcorn. I fully expect to be a regular to No Rails now that I no longer have to fly in from Las Vegas to have a beer.

A quaint whitewashed covered bridge that was built in 1936.
I actually wrote a story about the covered bridges of the Willamette Valley and thoroughly enjoyed finding all these 'roofs over rivers' in Linn County. Schamanek Bridge is another must see for the covered bridge nuts, and if you a bit adventurous, travel from one to the next on a bike and take a picnic.
