The Red Tower is located at the end of the harbour, just up from the jetty. The opening hours where 9.00 am - 19.00 pm in the summer. Entrance fee was 7 TL or 10 TL with the Shipyard or 14 TL with Shipyard & Damlatas cave. Four floors to visit, plus the turret with fantastic views at the top. As this is a medieval tower, there are lots of steep ,narrow, steps to climb, so not suitable for people with disabilities, or small children. Displays, models, old photos, on each floor. A must do, is on the second floor, walk out onto the old walls, the only way you can access it, again great views, but a lot of people miss it.

During sumer it receives big cruises ships that make the barbor more exiting. Witg its fish restauranta or delicious steak houses or the Turkish tradition kebab, you can walk and have a look to all the shops around the harbor for a great shoping day.. İ am lucky ,my office is in the castle with the view of the harbor.

There are so many beautiful restaurants in this area and a perfect place to bring everyone for the famous Turkish breakfast! It’s a very relaxing place to spend the day & you will want to return as often as possible. We have been many times & look forward to more wonderful memories!

Large cable cars take you to the top of the castle area for you to explore. Whether you go in the day or the night the views are amazing. Even if you’re scared of heights, this is worth being brave for. (My husbands legs are healing well from the nails I left in them).

Beautiful canyon seven hundred metres long with nice bridges as a footpath and absolutely stunning views.Better in the summer as you can dip in one of the few natural water pools.

Took the bus to The Time Centre shopping mall this evening (on way to Alanya) - what a hidden gem of a place this is. The shopping mall is predominantly Turkish brands but if you walk to the left of the mall there are several streets of shops, cafes - a really friendly place. A nice change for an evening out x
