Jutland's cultural heart, Århus is an exuberant university town with a perfectly preserved old town and a recreated historic village, Den Gamle By. The top draw is the Moesgard Museum of Prehistory, showcasing exhibits from the Stone Age to Viking days and home to the city's most famous citizen, the 2000-year-old Grauballe Man. It's a lively spot, teeming with cafes, restaurants, clubs and cinemas. Denmark's second-largest city perches on Jutland's eastern coast amid beaches and woodland.

The new Moesgaard Museum MOMU offers visitors a cultural-historical experience of international format with archeological and ethnographic Exhibitions. In addition, temporary Exhibitions display the World's most outstanding cultural heritage. At Moesgaard Museum MOMU, visitors come face-to-face with the people behind the displayed artefacts through set designs and dramatized narratives. The Exhibitions are based on most recent research and technology.
I was on the business trip with customer and after having all the meetings decided to go for some sightseeing. My colleagues took us to the Morsgaard Museum which is like 15 min drive from city center. And it’s impressed me a lot. First of all architecture. The museum itself is a very modern building. Then the exhibition. It’s a great mix of multimedia (including VR) and standard Exponates. Very interesting but also time consuming. Just 1-2 hours will be not enough at all to go through the exhibition. So it’s worth planning in advance for the whole day.

A great idyllic place inside Aarhus. Relive the town in 3 different time periods. You will definitely spend more time than you originally intended to. Free 5 hour parking in the nearby roads.

Welcome to ARoS Aarhus Art Museum - one of Europe's largest art museums situated in the heart of Aarhus, and the only one with a rainbow on top, Your rainbow Panorama. ARoS is a house of art where our guests can be pleased, enlightened and challenged. The architecture is of international class. The same is the art. And both offer experiences of high carat: from light to thrill, from attitude to entertainment, from joy to challenge.
This is a must see cultural attraction in Aarhus. Wonderful Exhibitions (some are interactive). Parents are bringing kids because there are parts of museum just for them. Panorama in rainbow colors is great! You can see the whole town. Everything is well explained. There is a great museum shop.

Interesting park just south of Aarhus, with a variety of different deer types. The deer were friendly, and could be hand fed, though the Muntjacs seemed to be a little more cautious. It's best to come in the week, as it does get very busy at weekends, and the deer have more than enough carrots to choose from.

Many activities for all ages, beautiful architecture, interesting art and decor, comfortable areas to relax or read in. You can also get brochures for the upcoming events of all the art related locations in the city.
There are even interactive areas to build things, I think.

Discover 4 different climate zones with stories about nature and plants from all over the world. In The Greenhouses botany and nature are in the center. Told for both children and adults. Explore 4 different climate zones with beautiful flowers and impressive plants or take a break in the cafe and enjoy the food and the green surroundings. The exhibition NATUR(R) gives an insight into nature as man's livelihood - a treasure trove of materials, food and experiences that we people daily enjoy. In the plant collections and many other places in the Greenhouses you can hear stories of nature's wealth and influence in our daily lives.
After years of neglect, this section of the botanical Gardens in Aarhus has become amazingly wonderful place to go with children or without them, and walk around so beautifully designed and welcoming green house. The variety of trees and plants, the loving sounds of birds, some butterflies flying around - the whole experience is so peaceful and pleasing. The pace is becoming more and more popular with families with small children. Most importantly, the entry is free, and I hope that it stays free before some gods of money-minded managers put a ticket on this. A must visit in Aarhus

A quartet was playing classical music. Very nice experience.
The cafeteria is well equipped and very nice surroundings.
Attending the "concert" was free of charge.
There are free "concerts" from time to time, which will be notified on the website
Apart from this it is a nice and quiet place, just next to the town hall and the Artgallery

Dedicated to the Patron Saint St. Clement, Aarhus Cathedral is a wonderful peaceful oasis. As it is an active church, it is closed during services. It is well worth a stop.

In the heart of Aarhus you can find the amusement park, Tivoli Friheden. Here, families can enjoy different rides, entertainment, music and good food in beautiful green surroundings. There is something for everyone, both children and adults.Meet the charming characters, Pjerrot and the park's mascots - Mrs. Frog and Mr Rabbit.Enjoy the Danish summer in great company and get an lovely experience. See you in Friheden!
A lot of different rides, but the prices are quite high. You buy an entrance ticket that gives you free rides, but you still have to pay for some of the things like the "free fall", wheel of fortune and some of the other places where you can win prizes. Food and drinks are not very good. We bought the buffet, and it was disappointing, to say the least. There was hardly any food available, and it was cold and boring. Food, snack and drink prices are generally very high, so it's recommended to eat somewhere else or bring your own food. Some of the rides are quite old and worn, but still much fun. Rides are generally very short, so come outside of rush hours unless you want to spend most of the day in a waiting line for 30 seconds of fun....
